I think it was significant that the CVs showed everyone asking Sudha to get their food - for once she and not Gulaal is the center of attention. She has been jealous of Gulaal for ages and finally she is the good bahu. So she will bask in this glory and has only Gulaal to thank. I think Sudha suspected Dushyant's killing in the past based on one episode where he behaves guiltily, and finally she knows that her suspicions were true. She probably also knows that it was a big thing for Gulaal to bury this fire within herself because she knows Gulaal rejected all of Dushyant's moves. Others are not privy to as much information as Sudha from Dushyant's perspective.

Well they can spew all the venom they want and chase out the DIL who had supported them all through. At the end they will be eating humble pie when they get to face the brunt of Raman's fraud. Now that Kesar is also set to leave the house, Raman will get full control of the house and the factory. Given his gambling ways, it wouldn't be long before MB's family will be brought to the streets. Then they will understand that had it not been for Gulaal, they would have faced this plight 10 years ago if Dushyant was locked up back then and Kesar still a child. I guess some lessons are learnt the hard way.

Precisely! Their accusations are so hollow. Why should she tie down a 12 year boy in the age old custom when she could have had the man she is supposed to have enticed? I hope Kesar asks some hard questions of the family including who would have looked after the family had Dushyant been sent away to prison 10 years ago before he leaves the house with Gulal. A life that has been taken away cannot be brought back but to be fair Dushyant fulfilled all the responsbilies left unfinished by Vasant's untimely death. Penance can take various forms and the form it took in Dushyant case was one which was more productive than a prison sentence would have been.

Yes, Gulaal was wrong to have taken it on herself to make decisions for other people but then the punishment meted out to her far outweighs her mistake.
