And you could see those feelings come out when she saw Kesar drumming bechara dhol ( I really pity the dhol everytime)...and she watched him all dazed...As if zapped !!
I know we all were depressed by Vasant's FBs cropping up but while watching the scene it struck me that she was looking at Kesar as if she was looking at her husband...and 'husband' is a word she attaches to Vasant..

You know ..I am really gonna give a chappal-phenk-ke-isse-maaro kind of example...but this is what struck my mind ...
when I was young (I still am😛,,,but bhery bhery young that is) ...we used to say 'get this paper Xeroxed' or 'put this bottle in the Freeze'...What we meant was 'get this paper photocopied' and 'put this bottle in the Refrigerator'...
But Xerox was a company which started the photocopying thing in India so it was always 'get it xeroxed'...
We used to say get me a babool colgate...LOL...colgate was associated with toothpaste so much that we wanted a toothpaste with another brand name but still said colgate because Colgate was Synonymous to Toothpaste in India at that time...

So you see what we had in mind was babool( a brand name of toothpaste in India)...Colgate was just a default clause/name put in, because of our lack of proper knowledge and feeding of first impressions...

So for Gulaal the first impression..the first love, husband,..those feelings, cravings... are all associated with Vasant..so even if she has them for someone else...Vasant is bound to crop up...when she saw Kesar you could see that 'mesmerizing' 'flowering' feelings growing on her face...that was one amazing scene..the way it was directed..the way it connected the three of them and the way it showed a transformation in Gulaal...oh now our kesar ki muniya has become a BANIYA, kya examole hai babool, colgate😆madamji surf, lux ye sab kyun chod diya😆but jokes apart really nice interpretation, i could now really relate myself more with the scene .

And as I said to Lennie that day..it is amazing...the kind of devotion she has for that dead man...only this kind of woman...a woman with this unwaivering devotion gets the love of a man like Kesar who is totally devoted to her...seems like God's way of giving back to her what she has given to a dead man...her heart life and soul...-i think her devotion towards vasant is what that makes kesar to love her even more.😭
