Yeh, I stole that title right off John Meyer, eh!

But it just fits. The song started playing on my IPod while gymming in the morning (yeh I know, not exactly a gym song) and I could only think about GK!

Another brilliant episode, and here goes my nothing for today.

We always knew bringing back Gulaal to the house would have to be step 1 to things looking upscale again. Why? We didn't think if Kesar's repeated ILUs were violating her so much, his perpetual presence would actually improve his impression? We were banking on Kesar somehow working the miracle. But how?! When he sat begging to God today - the question was at its prime. How was he supposed to pummel it into this woman, that he cared too much for her, too much to not go through any ordeal she set up for him. As long as she would begin to show even hints of cracks - cracks, beneath which he could dig out and rediscover his Gulaal.

He asked Talli the same thing. What had he done that was so wrong - hadn't they all seen? He'd tried to stop her. He'd begged and pleaded and gone down on his knees and left no desperate and/or logical stone unturned to keep her, and later to bring her back. But was forcing her the way? He couldn't force her into what he thought was her happiness. But it was, it is! When Kesar said that this house was all that her happiness revolved around, he wasn't wrong. Gulaal could harp all her life about having left her soul behind, about being only physically present - but truth is, when JK told her today, that she had no rishta with the house other than the one she was putting down, she was rudely shocked. She has after all given her life to this house - does that count for nothing? And that is exactly what Kesar wants her to see and accept. He doesn't want her to turn her back o her sole purpose striving to live, because of him. He does want, desperately want that she should include him into her purpose to live - but that's only because he's been misled into believing (by her) that he's not in that list anymore (explaining his instance of doubt when Sudha hit bulls eye telling him Gulaal dind't care!) - even though he continues to top it. He has been and is, the center of her world - circumstantially, or by choice (marzi ya majboori, as she told JK)

Fact is, Kesar is growing every day, with respect to owning the truth, and so each day, his understanding of the reality grows one step. Today for the first time he referred to the impenetrable 'Vasanth Bha' boundary she had captured herself inside. And it was a massive revelation. Interestingly, all these advancing revelations are coming to him, and not (as is much much needed) to dear lovely Gulaal, because she's not facing the truth!

Anyway - I'm digressing from where I begun. How was Kesar going to fix all this misunderstanding between Gulaal and him, after she came back? We should have known he would always have one thin from Gulaal to bank on. Her genuine concern. She's too much a saint to not care. Forget that she has feelings for him - any damn kind - just that he's a human, not to mention a member of the family, her husband now, and most importantly her Kesar, she would never live long enough putting him into spots. In some way, when she told him to not interfere between Sudha and her, she was doing for him, exactly what he was for her. Standing up as a shield in between. She was willing to take Sudha down, or most like take whatever she was dishing out for now, without Kesar haing to bear the brunt. No, she wasn't softening for him, much less forgiving that make believe monster she had made of him inside her head - and her scores to settle with Kesar made her take on that bitter tone, and cutting way she told him to 'not interfere'. But really, she hit two birds with a shot. She put him out of Sudha's way (Who looks like she is this far from murdering one, or both of them these days); and she kept up the self consoling facade of her cold war with Kesar.

That's how she is. But that's also how he is. Let's not forget the other side of this coin - the time when Kesar had come back. He could be lashing at her, hurting her, every chance he got, and even more if he could. But could he deal with anyone else dishing crap at Gulaal - eh, no. He was playing this game not so long ago - standing between harm's way and Gulaal; and maintaining his cold war with her. She's taken her turn now. 🄱 (Sigh these two. One of them has to be losing it, this way or that. In simple English, we call it made in heaven. šŸ˜† )

IMO, what we're going to see in days to come, is just going to be a mirror image of the original Kesar return picture. We should bank on Kesar to penetrate through to Gulaal - because didn't she? Even when he was kicking her away as far as he could? But we should also not put it past Gulaal to lose to the person she is, and what she has with Kesar. Remember the war Kesar had charged against her, in the name of marrying Talli - and one sign of defeat from her, one simple main haar gayi had changed the dynamics. Yes, Gulaal says (and probably is far from realizing any better) that she doesn't love him. But Kesar wasn't exactly in fighting his love consciously mode at that point. The whole love realization dawned upon him later. At that point, he was as plainly attached and bothered by Gulaal's misery; as she will be by his, now. Bottom line: They can each take turns at trying all they want - but they are not the kind of people who know how to turn backs.

Which is why, to me, the precap seems utterly promising. A new step forward.
Oh and yes - mincing my words temporarily, and having them for an early dinner, Talli does genuinely look like she wants these two to find peace, as of now. There was a sign of her immense hurt when Kesar repeated his love confession, but no, she's not hoping. She's just hurting. But Gulaal has rubbed off on her, and she does seem dedicated to helping these two sort out. (Pat on her back - 😲 didn't think I'd come to this occasion - but she actually asked Gulaal, why she couldn't go to give Kesar the food! Go Talli! *mumbles grumbles* yes yes, Go Sudha too - not before I can take a punch at her though 😔)

Okay, done done! Today wasn't an 0rganized post - just random rambl - but I was actually trying to keep away from posting because I have sooo much work! Sigh, my addiction! Some one needs to ban me on this forum!

Anyway - before I go, here's a section of the lyrics from the song that inspires the title today, which fit GK like a glove - atm!

It's not a silly little moment,
It's not the storm before the calm.
How dare you say it's nothing to me?
You're the only light I ever saw.

I'll make the most of all the sadness,
You'll be a bitch because you can.
You try to hit me just to hurt me
So you leave me feeling dirty
Because you can't understand.

We're going down,
And you can see it too.
We're going down,
And you know that we're doomed.
My dear,
We're slow dancing in a burning room.

Staying home alone on a friday
Flat on the floor looking back
On old love
Or lack thereof
After all the crushes are faded
And all my wishful thinking was wrong
I'm jaded
I hate it

I'm tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here
So tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here

Yeah that's just me taking a peep into 'our-forum-discovered' Gulaal's heart.
*Pallo grins...John Meyer for John Meyer*

*Pallo merrily skipping to her fav 'SUBJECT'- KESAR*

We all loved that li'l heartfelt talk Kesar had with God. Personally I loved it in a "superlative" way.
The confusion, the hurt, the tears (which have become omnipresent in his eyes) was all there!
Every question he hurled at God was firmly tipped with reason. Every query that has nestled in his heart was bared to God.
"Bilkul akela padh gaya hoon...Mujhe samajhne ki koi koshish hi nahi karta"
His words were heart-ripping but a tad bit untrue here! JK is der, for whatever selfish reason she may have, she is still there trying to bridge the ever growing distance between Gulaal and Kesar.

He talks about Gulaal's certain requirements to weigh a pure feeling such as love. He can't figure out why he needs to overcome her "self-designed" weighing scale to prove his love.

Gulaal's measuring device
"Above 500 Kg. = Love
Below 500 Kg = Lust"

His mention of Vasanth Bha was the highlight of the whole conversation. It throws light that he totally understands Gulaal's way of looking at things. It shows his stumbling but definitive step towards reality.
(I want them to focus more on this aspect of understanding that Kesar has got. He too loves Vasanth Bha...but does Gulaal's usage of Vasanth's name as a barrier get to him? Does he feel frustrated, jealous or pressurized to match upto Vasanth's standards?)

His questioning the societal norms and the mechanics of how they work was amazing.
Our brain usually accepts every "rule" out of the societal platter...But no one can give guarantee of the heart.
Brain is after all brain...and heart is after all heart... (Now please dun temme that LIMBIC SYSTEM which is associated with all the necessary feelings and emotions is situated in the brain. I'm well aware of it...and choose to ignore "gross anatomy")

And then...*DHAN-TA-NA*
He lets go...and lets God take over...
They rightly say..."When the world walks out, God walks in" (figuratively. Coz I believe he is always there with us)

In comes tomorrow's precap...Kesar's carelessness or Divine Intervention??? Time shall tell...

JZee...I totally agree on your "Full circle" concept. Its time to sit back watch Gulaal's self-constructed fortress of ice melt. And while a lot good may come out of today's episode...am still stuck on her dialogue.
*Pallo loads her gun*
For Back Up u know!

About Talli..
I know am gonna sound terribly rude but am still frozen in annoyed mode! The less I talk about her, the "happier" I'll be!!!

As I mentioned earlier...Sudha's timely "dragging-away-off-Talli" was kiss-worthy. I wonder how blind has Gulaal turned. Her throat-inflaming claims of caring about Talli all go for a toss when she wants to avoid Kesar. In her race to become immune to Kesar's love she has totally forgotten that this girl had been left shattered in the mandap. She overlooks the fact that by sending Talli to face Kesar she may be subjecting the girl to episodic pain.
(*Pallo chews her gum*
What? U r wondering why am "feeling" for Talli all off a sudden?
*Pallo shrugs it off*
Ain't it obvious?...And I never screamed from any cliff that I am not selfish!)

So Ma'am I think you need to dust your slippers and keep them ready...coz yer journey is gonna begin soon enuff!šŸ˜‰

*Phew* Am done!

PS- Yeah I love COLORED POSTS!!šŸ˜†

JZee you better start doing an analysis everyday😊, you have a way with words and totally get it.. where i feel i might be lacking big time at this point (sad but true i have to say about me)
Anyways, i get you when Kesar says well i just wanted to get her home, coz home is where her heart is even if it wasnt the right methods he went about it, all the things he need has in the end got her home,
I most definately agree when you say that certain mirror things will be happening, esp the time when Kesar came back and the scenes they had, i do see the same scenes happening with Gulaal being Kesar was back then and so on...
As for Talli, i also see that she wants these two finally get to some civil-ness, and what she feels now is hurt
Talli's demeanor changed when Kesar gave her that scenerio of i still wont be able to love you even if i had married you and so on, so what being married to me will do - something similar he said last week, and you see a change in Talli to how she was last week with Kesar to how she is today with him, actually wanting to talk to him and help him i guess
And yeah Gulaal will care and show her concern, coz its Gulaal and he is Kesar... certain scenes from now on will show this...

Oh JZee, Of late I have been having serious issues with my eyesight/vision. So with that, your green shade in print would take me a while to read. Will surely get back.

Bold: Agree with that. I knew that Gulaal would be angry when she returned and I knew that she would be the way Kesar was when he returned. He came back with this resentment, anger and bitterness and all of that directed at Gulaal! The worst thing he came back with was this niggling doubt that his Gulaal had had a thing with Dushyant but honestly speaking...in his heart he knew it was not true.

Gulaal is exactly the same right now...she is bitter and angry with Kesar and no matter how much she calls his love paap...I am pretty sure she knows exactly how pure his love is. She is just lashing out at him using the most demeaning words she can find. They know each other inside out and they also know how to hurt each other really well.

Just wrote this in Lennie's post but I wish Gulaal will stop sending Talli to take care of Kesar...they need to leave that girl out of their lives for some time. At the end of the day, Talli is heartbroken as well and both Gul and Kes know that yet Gulaal keeps pushing Talli in front of Kesar and Kesar keeps unintentionally declaring that he loves Gulaal when Talli is trying to offer him advice!! Gosh...let that girl heal people!! (Disclaimer: I am not a Talli fan and I am in no way endorsing her...find her quite annoying..but jeez loiuse...leave her out please!) Besides, Gulaal wants her own battles which is why she won't let Kesar defend her when that mad woman Sudha is ranting and raving...so c'mon Gulaal...don't use Talli to fight your battles with Kesar. We know you care about him...so...go on...care about himšŸ˜

Your words are as beautiful as the actual show <3

It's welcoming to see Gulaal do things which a wife would do for her husband i.e. making sure he gets food in his stomach is such a wife thing but it's also a Kesar-Gulaal thing. Their relationship covers every possible relationship in the world at times.

Kesar is slowly beginning to understand the issues with Gulaal. He was so on the money with his monologue with Bhagwanji! Doesn't this prove that he is maturing? He clearly voiced what Gulaal is going through. She does not want to cross that Vasant boundary she has drawn for herself.

Just like Gulaal's little water accident brought them closer, I'm sure Kesar's ill health will result in something positive for the complicated lovers. Don't mind me saying this (There is a crazy phangurl within me) but I am very eager to see the first signs of Gulaal's physical attraction towards Kesar. I don't know when that will happen but that aspect is necessary for that growth in their relationship.
That's how she is. But that's also how he is.
And that is THEM! 😳

She put him out of Sudha's way (Who looks like she is this far from murdering one, or both of them these days); and she kept up the self consoling facade of her cold war with Kesar.

I love how you've worded this.. Sure Gulaal's tone was a bit curt when she told him not to interfere and sure that would be the FIRST thing that would be noticed in that interaction.. But if you look past the tone and the deliberate attempts at avoiding eye contact, you'd notice just how stealthily and naturally she'd placed herself in between Sudha and Kesar. Because it's no secret just how much wrath Sudha would like to unleash on these two for the games that they've played with each other (knowingly or otherwise) and how that's affected other seemingly innocent people even if those innocent people i.e. Talli, in my opinion should have grown a brain long before and realized that the guy did NOT love her and that she probably did not want to marry such a seemingly "mean"/"twisted guy".. Because lets face it, Kesar was pretty unhinged thanks to Gulaal and his complex feelings for her. Toh he came across as such a temperamental and moody guy (even though that really wasn't him.. but we'll let that slide for a minute) and what person in their right mind would want to marry a guy who arm wrestles them because they touched his clothes/closet?! *rolls eyes* But that's all okay in "Sudhama's" eyes. Talli was in love with a boy she hadn't seen for 10 years and they constantly stroked that fire instead of speaking reason to her. Sudha didn't bother to tell her "bachi" k she should wait, take a breath and think about this.. Think about the fact that Kesar isn't here and that just because GULAAL said so doesn't make it so. Nahi, Gulaal ki baat pe KHUD ne bharosa ki, Gulaal ki baat ki aarh mein KHUD ne apni beeti ko dheel di.. And now when the kid fell flat on her face, "Sudhama" is ready to point fingers without once looking at herself.. I'm sorry, vada Gulaal ne kiya I accept that.. But APP ne kya kiya? What did you do to prevent this? To make sure that Kesar was in fact the right guy for Talli.. You never brought up the marriage conversation with Kesar yourself, didn't even bother to find out what he actually thinks of your daughter. Hearsay pe pehley beti ko sapney dikhaye aur phir hearsay pe hi beti ki shadi bhi pukki kar di! In fact I'd think that any mother would pause before her daughter's wedding and re-evaluate the groom and the situation JUST TO BE SURE. But Sudhama toh was more eager than the bride to get the wedding started. Tab she didn't check up on Kesar - bass aik formality k liye "meri beti ko khush rakhna" speech mar k chal deen.. And now she's holding them responsible without even the slightest hint of guilt! Gulaal ki ghalti, Kesar ki ghalti, meri masoom bachi.. *rolls eyes*
*reads back through her rant* So.. I clearly digressed from the original point that you'd made about Gulaal shielding Kesar from Sudha (which I absolutely agree with!).. 😳 Apologies.. Sudha kind of irks me these days.. I get her phobia of seeing her daughter being ill treated in light of her own married life and how she was treated like a doormat by her own husband.. but her hypocrisy in this situation just gets to me.. *rolls eyes* 🤢
Honestly, it's this parallel between Kesar and Gulaal now that I find so intriguing! When he'd just returned he was confused about what he wanted and felt - he wanted to hate her for the "lies" she'd told him and the secrets she'd kept from him.. and just as he'd convince himself of her treachery and of his hate for her, she'd do something and his care and his concern would flow through. Just as he'd feel k he doesn't care, his shield (that he had tried to build around him, from her.. repeatedly) would crack.. Which would result in even more turmoil for him - even more confusion over whether he hates her, whether he trusts her, whether he cares for her or whether he's just angry at her! And now, now that Kesar knows what he wants.. what he feels.. Now that he is at least at PEACE where it comes to how he feels for her (even if he's still living in constant agony/angst over her rejection/misconception of his feelings).. Now that he has a clear understanding of what Gulaal is to him and the place she holds for him.. Now it's Gulaal's turn to feel the turmoil.. It's her turn to re-evaluate Kesar's place in her life.. She's always just assumed that Kesar would ALWAYS be the Kesar she wanted him to be or the one she was used to him being.. Vasant's younger brother and her "suport".. She never fathomed the repercussions of the deeyarvatu she tied Kesar in - tab toh usey "bharosey" sey manwa liya.. But she once done, she totally dismissed the entire rasam and the consequences of that rasam on Kesar. But now she gets to see how her actions/decisions (however well meaning) did have a domino effect.. And now as she's finally (and with great resistance) getting to truly SEE the effect of her decision, now she'll fight back. With words, with actions. She'll provoke him, she'll hurt him, play games with him and just simply twist his thoughts just as much as hers are at the moment. She's been forced to come into a house AGAINST her will - and she's too stubborn to let that go.. Leaving the house was her LAST stand against Kesar and his confession - she was running away, to a place where she could (she had hoped) live peacefully with her head in the sand and thoughts of Vasant surrounding her. But Kesar's constant presence there was like the ray of light (although she didn't see it so) that was ripping through her cloak of darkness. And now that she's being forced to stare back at it - to really LOOK at it and accept it.. She won't. Or she won't do it easily at least. She'll fight back, desperately trying to hold on to what she KNOWS (as false or imaginary as it might be) instead of venturing out into the unknown and looking past the perfect world she'd created for herself in the past 10 years.. The roles have changed and the people have reacted differently than she'd expected - and that change I feel just scares the living daylight out of her.. It throws her off entirely. Because the last time her life changed so drastically was when Vasant died and it had taken her a long time since to come to terms with it and fall in a routine.. And now to realize that her "routine" wasn't true in the first place.. That she had missed the entire picture in her selective viewing of the situation and that the truth is actually far different than what she's used too.. *sigh* Man! There is NO way she's going to accept/realize this easily. She's been living in her Vasant-world far too long to let it go.. Kesar has his work cut out for him, because just like he used Gulaal as a punching bag and took her on an emotional roller coaster.. Gulaal's about to do the same. And just like Gulaal gave him his space and resilient in her care for him, I feel it's now Kesar's turn to do the same.. Because now it's his turn to be the rock Gulaal needs him to be in these stormy times.. Where all her thoughts are running amock, she needs Kesar to be the one thing she can look at and see that he's still the SAME (even if that "same" is something that she doesn't like in the first place..)..
*looks back at the rant again*.. Err.. Umm.. Wow. I don't know what all I've said up there, but I hope it makes more sense on paper that it did in my head.. šŸ˜³šŸ˜†
