Something Manasi had said. Words of positivity

Whenever this show gets too intense for my liking (which is almost every episode now), I go back to watch the 'On the sets of Gulaal' I-F video where Manasi had said these words...

'Bahut hi alag aapko romance dekhne ko milega, aisa shayad kabhi television pe dekha hi na ho aapne'

Translation: You will get to see a very different type of romance, one which you may never have seen before on television'.

For some reason these words always give me confidence for Kesar-Gulaal. Right now neither of them are meeting halfway and are stuck to their ways. Kesar has no control over his emotions while Gulaal is too in control of hers. They're opposites in the truest sense but their conflicts are with reason while most other lead couples will be fighting at a drop of the hat. KG don't glare at each other to up the 'sexiness' quotient unlike 99% of the other television serials where the faces of the protagonists will be centimetres away from each other in the name of 'hate'. KG have had one dupatta scene but even that was like a teeny-tiny drop from the ocean so it didn't even seem typical. Nothing looks typical on these two!

Thus far this love story has been the most hatke I've come across where no scene is put in the show without reason. Kesar and Gulaal will come together eventually because they just have to! We just have to wait and see how the events unfold. Ironically the more Gulaal resists, the more I feel that their coming scenes will be something really special. They have to be if they want to show a woman like Gulaal fall for a man (or boy, your pick) like Kesar :))

I remember when the video came out, and you were the first to notice what she said, and wrote it down😉
Its definately is different, and very unique in a way, this whole show is compared to the others, with everything coming together.. always has been... its one the shows where i said before is one of the best on tv right now and also acting wise and storywise, its never gone off board in what they are telling in their story, the flow of story was there (Main point of this show was always getting to the deeyavatu when this show started...)
Its always been Kesar-Gulaal and i believe it will be, its their story, its their journey, their feelings, their emotions, their angst, their everything
Like you say this show, isnt about showing typical lovey-dovey scene, or romance in every episode or so, its a show, a story, a couple - where you need to see depth and understand everything, each and every point of pov and understand it, and see that everyone mostly are right in their own pov mainly Gulaal and Kesar - and this show makes you want to write and write, and see deeper and so on

Yaar sach mein...sooo true it's the most hatke romance seen on TV...no silly duppatta flying..long eyelocks and no physical proximity...but the chemistry just oozes out on screen...AS kesar...passionate,stubborn,obsessive,...lover so unlikely as atypical male lead..as gulaal...calm,strong willed..differnt ppl brouyght together by destiny...As I love these lines I will quote once again-

Kesuda is in passionate&obsessive love...it is beautiful but it has problems too.Jealousy ,possesiveness, fights, quarrels, nagging ,intolerance ,domination will be there...When fire is there ,there is much smoke. You cannot avoid the smoke if you love the fire.Of course..there would be grt moments of love too but also moments of hell...that is the price one has to pay.Unless it is mad, passionate and extraordinary...love is a waste of time..there are so many mediocre things in life..love shouldn't be one of them

I've not seen this video you talk of - because as I keep saying, Gulaal is a fairly new part of my routine. But this post is so well drafted Reemz - it just makes me happy - not to mention I laughed out loud (and no that does not equal lol because the latter is just lame mostly) reading Mansi's words!

ps: Not to mislead you by suggesting I don't like angst. In fact, I think quite the sadist and my favorite parts of any and every piece of fiction I've ever gotten into are always the heavy and nerve wrecking kind 😳 I know I know, I'm weird like that 😆

LOL those lines had made me really happy because I just expected something never seen before and so far it's lived up to expectation. This show has set very high standards in every department. It's one show that I feel proud to have watched because it caters towards an audience who likes to 'think' but at the same it entertains them too.

Since Day 1 it had been about the deeyarvatu and just like a film, everything had been built up for the story we are getting to now, arguably the most important phase in GK's story.

The chemistry is so effortless. There hasn't been any 'romance' as such from both sides but still every scene of theirs stands out so much. Their whole story has been intense (even when Kesar was young his emotions for Gulaal was out there and very obvious).

I love the words in red.😍

Here if you're interested:

It was back in April when Neil had entered.

You're not the only one there :) When it comes to fictional love stories, I am a sadist myself. I love the angst and passion, the heavy duty emotions which drain you out mentally. This show does it better than any other!

Thanks for posting the vid, Reemz...I'll check it out in a bit :-)

But I agree with Mansi in that this story...this "romance" although it isn't really that yet...is very unique...and that is the reason I'm drawn to it as well...the presentation of a very unconventional romance is what's admirable...the concept is something that has been treated with such sensitivity...no cliched, typical scenes...but the characters have such compelling chemistry...there is an epic feel to their story...a PURITY to this relationship which honestly is above any conventional labels...I can only hope the show is given enough time to do justice to that story cuz there is potential for a lot.

You got it. There is that 'epic' feel to it which is rare to find on television (Indian television anyway 😛). Showing a love story like this and justifying it takes guts and a lot of sensitivity. I don't want to get too ahead of myself but so far the writers have really taken great care with the build up of GK's 'romance'. It's all really well thought out as if they had written these scenes and moments since Day 1.

Oh nice!!! are the videos new?.. we all know they were always meant to be, and they will be tgether. Its just that its gets intresting when you see two opposite feelings coming across eacother.. and this type of a love story is very unusualll...and its funny and intresting how us the audience really feel every single thing about it. The anger, emotions, helplessness and hopelessness, i mean everything. And i never have felt this kind of excitement on any other show 😊😊😊
