I am new to Gulaal forum but an active member of IF...I hope U all will like my share of views too.
Gulaal is in a fix. It is not easy for Gulaal to accept kesar as her husband no matter what the fact is. Although I feel that she is somewhere a bit guilty for making Kesar to go through the deyarvattu. She has used him as a trump card to escape from Dushayant. Even Mota bha warned her of the consequences. So she has been preparing talli as a tool to pay her off her guilt. All she though was how she can stay in the house so that she can fulfill the promise she had given to her late husband. And unfortunately in her struggle to survive and prove, she mercilessly used TAlli and Kesar both. Kesar was right he has been used as a puppet. Now Gulaal who has always seen kesar as a younger, immature and inexperienced lad, is in a state of shock to see that she is dealing with a grown up kesar who has his own mind, principals and emotions. She is now seeing a very different side of kesar but still her mind and heart is not accepting the fact that kesar is asking for his right. She still thinks that it's his stubbornness and once deyervattu is over kesar will fall back on talli. She is still not understanding kesar. I know it is hard but she will only have feelings for kesar if she will see him as a different person...a man who has his own thinking and reasoning. As long as she will see him as child kesar , she won't understand him nor would she ever develop feelings for him.
As for Kesar, he doesn't know what love is...all he knows is that Gulaal is his. He has seen his brothers's vasant's love for Gulaal...now when Gulala was given to him, he just innocently transformed himself into Vasant's place...a man who loved gulaal and who is to take care of her. All his anger is justified because it has been difficult for him to understand that in spite of being accepted as husband why Gulaal is reject him now? How can she cut him off her life. His realization of love is still hidden...At the moment it is all about acceptance and rejection. I am sure once he will accept that it's LOVE that is forcing him to stay will Gullal his outlook will change and his dealing with Gulla will be more controlled and sure.
Gulaal is still living in her past whereas Kesar wants his past to become real in his present and future.
