Dushyant reads Kesar's letter - Kesar writes to Gulaal that since he has returned nothing is right, when he left he was upset with Gulaal, now that he has returned he has brought that feeling with him, maybe he himself kept that feeling alive, despite that he always kept hoping that something will happen that will revert things back to the way they were but that did not happen. There are some things that he is looking for answers to for the last ten years. He thinks that somewhere he is growing apart from himself, he is not what he is becoming, everyone's expectations are getting shattered, but he is experiencing the same thing, his expectations from everyone else are also shattering, he cannot be at peace with such a situation and neither will he be able to let others live in peace, after what happened the day before he has decided to... Dushyant tears the letter from the book and throws it away.
The women are getting ready for vrat-savitri. Dushyant leaves in a hurry. Reva and Gulaal's mother come there with Rohan and everyone is happy to see them. Reva asks for Gulaal, Gulaal's mother is wondering if Gulaal kept the fast, and Gulaal comes there dressed very nicely and her mother is happy to see this. Gulaal looks really beautiful. Talli comes there behind Gulaal and Gulaal's mother's face loses color. Paan Baa is surprised to see Talli dressed up, Sudha tells her that Talli is also fasting for a husband of her choice. Gulaal's mother does not like it at all and looks worried. Gulaal's face is pale. Her mother tells her that she is so happy that Gulaal decided to fast for her husband Kesar. Gulaal hears this and looks sideways at Talli. The women leave for the temple.
Kesar is in a bus buying a ticket for Bhuj. When the conductor goes to give him a ticket, Dushyant holds his hand, Kesar looks up surprised, and Dushyant tells him kindly to come back home. Kesar tells him not to come in his way and asks the conductor for the ticket. Dushyant asks him where he is going, Kesar responds back to the city. Dushyant asks why, what will happen to everyone at home, Mota Bha, Paan Baa, Gulaal, what will they go through. Kesar tells him he has made up his mind and nobody can make him change his decision. Dushyant responds assertively that he can. Kesar looks surprised. The conductor says what is he to do, he has already torn the ticket. Dushyant tears the ticket and holds the conductor's collar angrily saying that the bus will not go anywhere. Dushyant takes the keys from the driver and kicks everyone out of the bus saying that the bus will not go anywhere. Kesar is surprised seeing this. (Kesar looks so sweet and lost and vulnerable, its so nice to see him like this rather than his angry self. He just needs some love and guidance, something Vasant gave him plenty). After everyone left the bus, Dushyant tells Kesar that he is even more stubborn than Kesar, and sits in the seat opposite Kesar.
Talli's friend, Chunni, sees her in the temple and calls her. Gulaal's mother sees Chunni take Talli to the side. Chunni tells Talli that she found out the meaning of "dabloo", Talli is a gone case now because Talli is neither A nor B nor C, but a W, there are 23 more before Talli. Talli tells her that if that were the case Kesar would not have gifted her the dress that she is wearing. Chunni praises it asking her when did Kesar give it to her, Talli says she will tell her later, and both go back to the temple.
Kesar tells Dushyant that he will go and Dushyant cannot compel him to change his mind. Dushyant angrily tells Kesar that he can do a lot of things if he wanted to, he catches Kesar's collar and says that he can give him two tight slaps and drag him back home, Kesar always thinks from his perspective, Kesar will leave but what will other family members go through. Kesar says that at least there will be peace in the house with his leaving, Dushyant responds that there is a difference between peace and silence. He asks Kesar what has happened to him, why does he always remain so worried, Dushyant asks him to tell him, he has always tried to keep Kesar away from problems but since Kesar has returned from the city something is off, what is it that is eating Kesar up inside, whenever Dushyant looks at Kesar he feels helpless because he doesn't know what to do since Kesar doesn't say anything to anyone. Kesar looks hurt at Dushyant. Dushyant says that he can see the questions in Kesar's eyes but doesn't understand them, unless the questions come from Kesar's lips how can answers come. Dushyant continues that if he has complaints with Dushyant then he should say so, he will answer all his questions. He tells Kesar to start asking. Kesar looks confused wondering whether to ask.
Paan Baa tells all the women the story of vrat-savitri that started the tradition of every woman's fasting for her husband. Gulaal's mother looks over at Gulaal and Talli who are seated together.
Dushyant and Kesar are seated in the bus. Dushyant tells Kesar that when he (Dushyant) was a kid, Raman used to bully him a lot, Dushyant used to tell everyone that he too should get a younger brother so he could bully him too and take out all Raman's anger on him. Then Kesar came, seeing Kesar he forgot to bully him, and anytime anyone spoke loudly to Kesar he used to scold him. Kesar was everyone's beloved especially Dushyant and Vasant's. On saying Vasant's name Dushyant looks down remorsefully, and Kesar gets emotional hearing Vasant's name from Dushyant's lips, probably sensing that Dushyant feels guilty. Dushyant tells him that his getting angry is justified since he heard about the rumors about him and Gulaal. He tells him that Kesar just heard the rumors, what must Gulaal be going through who is a victim of the rumors. Dushyant too was angry that this happened because of him, which is why he went to apologize to Gulaal the day before. Kesar tears up and look surprised at this, realizing that there is nothing between the two. Dushyant continues that Gulaal has become all alone and is broken, it is easy for Kesar because he can run away, but what about Gulaal, where will she go. Dushyant tells him that wherever he is the Goddess' blessings should be with him, anyway even if nobody thinks of Kesar Gulaal spends her entire day praying for Kesar, she has also kept vad-savitri fast today for Kesar. Kesar looks very shocked at this. Dushyant puts his hand gently on Kesar's head and leaves.
The women pray in front of the tree, and Talli copies Gulaal's actions. Talli prays that even though she is not married to Kesar, she thinks of him as her husband in her mind, and her happiness is joined with Kesar's, keep Kesar happy always and give him a long life so that she can keep this fast for him his entire life. Sudha prays for love for herself and Raman. Gulaal prays that she is worried that Kesar will go the wrong way, God should give him direction, keep Kesar away from all problems, give him peace, he should forever be happy with Talli, give him a long life so that there never is any distance between Kesar and Talli like Vasant and Gulaal. Gulaal flashbacks to her and Vasant's moments, he asks her what she asked God for, Gulaal refuses to tell him, both of them yell each other's names in the temple while ringing the bell. Gulaal tears up. (Its a touching moment, there is so much chemistry between Gulaal and Vasant, they were so much in love. Kesar can never be Vasant because he looks and is too young and Gulaal will always feel motherly towards him, but Kesar can come close to loving Gulaal as much as Vasant, or even more). Talli nudges Gulaal and asks what happened, Gulaal wipes her tears.
The women start tying threads around the tree. Talli says she doesn't have a thread, how will she tie it. Gulaal gives her thread to Talli asking her to tie it. Gulaal's mother holds Talli's hand and looks at Gulaal shocked and angry. (Gulaal is too much. At this point I am ready to see Kesar marry Chunni instead, Talli and Gulaal and can have each other and live happily ever after, the martyr and the glue).
Precap: Kesar sees Talli wearing the dress that he gifted Gulaal, Talli is happy to see Kesar, he demands to know angrily where she got the dress from, Talli responds "from Gulaal" happily, Kesar looks furiously at Gulaal, Gulaal turns her eyes away unable to meet his eyes. Talli asks Kesar how is she looking in the dress, Kesar tells her that he told her that this dress is not for her then why did she wear it. Talli feels hurt and surprised hearing this. Gulaal looks on. (Its difficult to say what Gulaal is thinking, but she must feel a little good since she didn't look upset at all hearing this from Kesar. I like that Kesar is so direct with Talli and doesn't care about her feelings, he needs to be else Talli the glue will never leave it alone).
