I think the slap will take Gulaal and Kesar back to square one. He will be rude to her, she will probably ignore him and push Talli forward for everything. His attitude towards her will be the same as when he had come back after 10 years...

Either he becomes even more demanding/assertive esp if he sees JK signalling at him and remembering her words or naturally after the slap one would purposely keep away and not meet eyes and a certain and more barrier is around Kes-Gul now, first it was Gulaal woho distanced herself after the mini confession he gave her and now maybe Kesar will in a way, after the slap for a little while

What Gulaal did to Kesar was wrong in all respect. She is still treating him as a kid. That's why she slapped him like that in front of everyone. Kesar does not deserve that.Agreed, he should not have behaved rudely with elders but that was not the right way to react to his rudeness.That implies that gulaal has not considered him as her husband and he is still a kid for her. That slap was a reply to kesar and all the family members.

As far as Kesar is concerned, he might have died at that moment. And the question how will kesar react? I think he will harm himself. He just cannot bear Gulaal supporting Dushyant at each and every point knowing that D is the killer. He will think the Dushyant holds more place in Gulaal's heart than him. He cannot bear to see someone else having more importance in Gulaal's life than him .So he might confront Gulaal but I see a vague chance for it. It will be gulaal who will approach him and then may be more misunderstanding.

Yes , I also feel Kesar will be ignoring Gulaal and it will be Gulaal who will approach him because she too feels guilty for slapping him somewhere . If she was is in her right senses she would have never done that, but she too was in disturbed state of mind which ended in a slap
