Today's show was mostly about Kesar and his anger, grief, loneliness so I thought it fitting that a post be opened just to appreciate Neil's performance. Right from the way he walks off with anger(slowly receding backwards) at Dushyant and Gulaal to the Kabaddi scene, he was under pure torture. Uptil now we have seen the pain of Gulaal and her trauma through out this show...but Kesar ko samajhana kitna mushkil laga. Neil has understood and portrayed Kesar's character with so much depth and range which I never ever thought was possible. Hats off Neil!!!
The scene when he goes up to his room and sits so listlessly on the bed and picks up to play that some kind of mouth organ... Kesar's loneliness kaatne ko duadhta hain. Of course the last scene when he talks to Vasant's photo was just brilliant. I liked everything about the scene, the lighting, camera work, the focus on Kesar's face and not even for one second also Kesar faltered. My heart went out to you Kesar today. Just an amazing performance.
When I joined the Gulaal forum I do remember mentioning to somebody to if you think Neil is cute and very good in his anger scenes now just wait till you see him in emotional scenes he will blow you off and that is exactly what he has done today.
To the Gulaal forum lovers..it is not my intention here to either ignore Mansi's performance or the entire team . They are all excellent actors..but just felt since the episode was about Kesar he should desrve a special mention. Believe me when I say this is just the beginning, so imagine what you are in store for the future.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

What an outstanding performance by Neil. Till date we were shown his anger, but today I could just feel the amount of torture he is going through. Thanks to Neil for this awesome job and portraying Kesar's grief so well.

Yup! Today's episode was all about Kesar and Neil just shone brighter than ever. He's understood the nuances so well and added so much to the character. His performance today was really beautiful and he proved why he deserves to be amongst this highly-talented cast. That pain he put across made the audience connect to Kesar so much. You understood how lonely he is :(

I love how subtle the narrative is. First we saw Gulaal's 'adhurapan' and todays we saw Kesars. As I said before, these two are loney souls who need each other.

Keep up the great work Neil!!

@ Reemz, No doubt that Gulaal team has a highly-talented cast but I have observed Neil from the beginning of his career and have to say that Gulaal team is very fortunate to have roped Neil to play the role of Kesar. Just waiting for their misunderstanding to clear so that we can see the Jodi of Kesar-Gulaal blooming.

^Ofcourse they are lucky to have him too but I hadn't seen his past work so I could only judge him from what I've seen of him in Gulaal. He's VERY VERY talented!

Yes, Neil's episode today was a command performance!! I got to be a very loyal fan of his with his Abhi character in Karol Bagh. I have to say that this role is a league above even that as per today's performance. The whole show is now unwrapping like one excellent epic film. More than that, it feels more gripping, the way reading a book used to be. It used to be that watching tv was something that we did along with some other work or task. In a film, we were absorbed with the story. But today, this serial, this scene, today was like watching that film in the theater. Bravo, Neil. Your performance today was so gripping so moving. Bravo!

Hi
I think Gulaal has a very talented cast and Neil Bhatt is a great addition.
I have watched Neil before as my mum used to watch 12/ 24 Karol Baug. That was a complex role and Neil was outstanding in it. 👏 👏 Its not easy to be convincing falling for an older woman which Simi was in that serial. I remember his interaction with her and Simi's father was superb throughout the serial.
I have written elsewhere in my posts that Neil is capabale of good acting, though I feel up until now the CVs of Gulaal are not giving him the range of emotions he deserves. They have large shown him sulking or angry, where as I would love to see him more thoughtful, passionate and mature.
By the way can I ask a question. Has Neil changed his hairstyle or added more muscle/ weight. I felt he was more cute looking in 12/24 Karol Baug than he is in Gulaal😳
regards

Hi Kasturi if you think Abhi was a complex role then I feel portraying Kesar is much more highly complicated than Abhi. Contrary to your views I feel the Cv's of Gulaal are doing total justice to the character of Kesar. Why dont you give it some time till Kesar exercises his anger and frustrations , I am sure once his misunderstandings are cleared..you will see the wonderful, thoughtful passsionate irresistible Kesar.
As for Neil changing his hair style that he is an actor that will adopt any to go with his role, but yes he is definitely much leaner, has added more muscle and absolutely drop dead handsome.😆

Hi Neil-fan,
I am sorry but your reaction is quite unexpected and seems like you are upset or offended. And I cant understand why and frankly feel I did not deserve such a reaction.😭
In fact if you read what I have written I have praised Neil Bhatt and his acting skills coz I like him a lot. I started watching this serial again once he entered it.
I said Abhi's character was complex. Where am I saying that Kesar's is not😕.
And are you not saying exactly the same thing as I am, that Kesar's character is right now only in an anger/ frustration phase.
Anyways, perhaps I should have not written in the first place.
Bye
