Kesar runs after Talli and she falls on the vegetable monger's tomatoes, who gets mad. Kesar pays her. Talli blames Kesar for her fall and says how can she go home with her dress dirty. He tells her to wait, he will do something. She stands with her back to him, and Kesar takes a big pot of water and drops the water on her. She is completely wet and very embarrassed, around her women laugh and men stare at her. Kesar sees that and covers her with his jacket. He asks her to go home but she refuses to go alone. He tells her to go with Mota Bha, she is surprised that Mota Bha is there and looks to see, Kesar runs away and hides. While he is hiding two guys come and recognize him. Both guys are his childhood friends, and say that Kesar did not come to meet them, so they were on their way to meet him and found him here.
Talli goes home alone. Everyone asks Talli why she is wet. She narrates everything to them and says how can Kesar behave like this, and he ran away leaving her alone. Gulaal takes her inside. Gulaal's parents have come there to visit. Jamna Kaki taunts that Kesar and Talli keep teasing each other in small ways, and it is usual for them. Gulaal's mother doesn't like hearing that.
Gulaal scolds Talli and wipes her hair. Talli smiles and flashbacks to Kesar's putting his jacket around her. She says that she doesn't mind falling ill for Kesar, and if she falls ill he will have to take care of it. Gulaal calls her silly and says that she (Talli) loves Kesar a lot.
Kesar is with his friends and is happy. They ask him about the city, and say that he makes all decisions using a coin. They say that he has gone to the city and changed a lot. They show him a liquor bottle and show it to him. He asks them what it is, and they say that they got it especially for him. He refuses to drink. They ask him to toss his coin. He tosses it, but without showing them the result he takes the bottle and smashes it. They are surprised, and he says that he won the coin-toss and they too should not drink since alcohol is bad, and he will pay for the bottle he broke.
Gulaal's mother is home and flashbacks to Talli's conversation about Kesar's behavior, Jamna Kaki's taunt, and other situations where Kesar praises Talli. Gulaal's father asks the mother what her problem is, and why is she lost in thought. She says that Kesar has returned but will Gulaal's life change. She expresses her worries about Gulaal's future and the father tells her that Gulaal's in-laws care a lot about her. The mother though says that her intuition tells her that trouble will fall on Gulaal.
Dayi Baa is complaining about Mota Bha's sitting in his room all day and not meeting anyone who comes to visit. Gulaal is lost in thoughts about Kesar's behavior and words. Dayi Baa tells Gulaal that what she said about Mota Bha applies to Gulaal as well. If Gulaal keeps running away from the truth she will feel suffocated as well. Gulaal says that she tried everything but Kesar refuses to speak to her. Dayi Baa says that after Vasant only Gulaal can understand Kesar and make him understand. Gulaal denies but Dayi Baa persists and tells her that she can reach Kesar's heart and she should not lose hope.
Talli is cleaning red chillies and Gulaal is crushing them. Talli starts coughing, Gulaal asks her to go inside and that Gulaal will do the chillies. Talli says that she will choose the spiciest chilli for Kesar's food. Kesar comes there and says that he got her something. Talli opens the packet and sees imli (tamarind), and tells Kesar that she doesn't like imli. Kesar says that other people in the house like imli. Gulaal sees it and flashbacks to her time with Vasant where he brings her imli and Kesar snatches it and runs away and Gulaal runs after him. Gulaal takes the imli and eats it smiling. Kesar looks on from afar emotionally.
Precap: Dushyant is worried and tells Gulaal what if Kesar finds out about Vasant.
