I dont think it would of worked as well, for me Rahil is Vasant in the sense how Gulaal lovingly writes to him in her diary, gazes at his photo, remembering their moments, i dont want that to lose it essense if they has brought a duplicate for Kesar
I do think the casting for Kesar has been done well
