Star Plus next casualty 'Gulaal' under scanner

Star Plus has been reviewing its primetime output for the past few months, after axing 'Sabki Laadli Bebo' and 'Tere Liye' recently; the channel is giving 'Gulaal' one last attempt to improve its ratings.

Come April, 'Gulaal' will see a ten-year leap in the show's storyline, which will result in a love triangle between Kesar, Talli and Gulaal.

A source told TellyChakkar, "Gulaal had been given ample time to pull up it socks and improve the TRPs. However, nothing of that sort happened and the ratings have steadily been sliding down. The slot it occupies is an extremely crucial time slot and the channel was even contemplating moving the show to the afternoon time band but things are yet at the nascent stage."

Adds another source, "In fact, it is also buzzed that if the show doesn't perform post IPL, it may even be pulled off air."
