Indian Television and its male leads

I write this post after coming across AJ's Pic in hospital gown on insta . And its a analytical post . We are yet to see the episode and so I will leave the judgement till later ,but just wanted to discuss this here .

I am discussing other shows and characters just to put across a view. If it in anyway is against rules , kindly inform me. But this is purely for a healthy discussion

An I am going to discuss only the male leads .

I see such immensely talented actors on Indian television. Much more than what I see in hindi films and so sometimes it makes me wonder that had the writers been true to their scripts or were allowed to do so , what an impact and magic these actors could have created in these roles .

I am not a regular daily show watcher .Till now I have seen only 3 shows ,not thru my eyes but my heart

Ishq ka rang Safed

Guddan

And incidentally all three had such well written male leads and to add to that such superb artists playing them . In fact many a times there were loop holes in the writing but these actors with their immense talent more thn made up .

But Alas in both my previous shows everything fell prey to TRPS

Rangrasiya

Major Rudra Pratap Ranawat. What a strong character and what an actor ashish sharma was . He lived major rudra pratap .

And then TRPS , He was made into a person who is taken to be mentally unstable , weak and then the final blow ,he became a body guard from a brave soldier .

The actor still managed to leave an impact .

Ishq Ka Rang Safed

What a premise . Widows of Baneres .Possibly one of the finest ever on Indian tv .And the male lead Mishal raheja also one of the finest actors on tv according to me. WHat a character viplav was and how well mishal played it ,He fought the world for dhani .

But then had to do antics with kamini . TRPs struck and he got married to the vamp. Still the same ,Mishal managed whatever he could with his talent

Guddan .

AJ .what a character and how well nishant is playing it . BUt that pic made me sad. Hope the makers do justice to AJ's image that they have built in our minds. The only thing different in guddan and thankfully so is that TRP wise its still doing very well .

So I hope for once AJ's character emerges stronger after this track .

A desire in m heart to watch a strong pair creating magic on screen lingers ... And I know AJ wont die but

Want AJ to be what he has been and hope the track is handled well ,without resorting to gimmicks.
