I had started this FF when there were only 1 or 2 posts made on this forum which is why I was so happy that I can start a story and no one will be waiting for an update😭. You can read my happiness in the first post and the first page of this FF thread itself!😭😆But you people are bad! And after 6 months I am back to update🥱😆😳I would have updated before but I was juggling with too many things at the same time. But chalo koi baat nahi! I can do it now.And yes, this is going to be a short update and I have made some changes so this is actually the prologue of the story. I will update a lengthier chapter next, I am just too tired to update anything. I just wanted to give this FF a kickstart again.****************|00.5| - The Marriage Proposal
She let out a deep breath as she stared at the gift that her to be husband had presented her last night. His first gift to her. A very well written proposal, marriage proposal the title of it said.
"What is this? she couldn't help but ask. She wanted to be sure that this was not some kind of joke or a prank that he was playing on her in response to all what she had done to him.
Akshat leaned back on the chair and placed his entwined hands on the table, "What does it look like?" his voice had the hints of sarcasm and irritation, "It's a contract that you need to sign before our marriage takes place."
Guddan slapped the contract papers on the table and mimicked Akshat's pose and the tone of his voice. "I can see what it is and read what it says. I think you didn't understand what my question was. I will rephrase it for you," she had a sugary sweet smile on her face as she continued, "I am asking that what is the need of this contract? All this," she began turning the pages of the contract.
"Party B cannot touch Party A's belongings." she began reciting the terms and conditions mentioned in the contract, "Party B will not enter Party A's kitchen.~ As if I will have anything to do in the kitchen! Almost everybody in the city knows that Guddan can't cook!" she laughed but Akshat remained stoic.
"And that is exactly the reason that you would not step into my kitchen. Now please sign this. I have an important meeting to attend. My time is precious." said Akshat staring at his wristwatch.
Guddan shook her head and murmured, "Baat toh aise kar rahe hain jaise desh k pradhan mantri hon!" she giggled to herself and began reading rest of the contents of the contract. She wanted to be aware of as to what she is getting into.
Every other condition was ridiculous than before but one particular term caught her attention, "T&C #192 ~ This contract forbids Party B to have any romantic feelings for Party A and expect anything from the latter." Guddan made a funny face at that.
"Yeh kya hai?" she looked at Akshat with disbelief, "Do you think yourself as Salmaan Khan? Or perhaps Ranveer Singh? What is it in you that I will ever have any kind of feelings for you?" she had a finger pointing at him as she laughed, mocking him.
Akshat didn't let it show but he felt offended. "Just sign it."
Guddan chuckled and signed the contract, "Mujhe kaunsa inn uncle se kabhi pyaar vyaar hoga." she muttered to herself, "Yeh to sirf Chutki k liye shaadi kar rahi hoon main. Yeh lijiye Uncle, aapka marriage proposal." said Guddan handing him the now signed and sealed contract.
Akshat collected the papers and put them in his laptop bag. Without any word, he stood up to leave but stopped to say, "Stop calling me Uncle." his tone held no feelings, "Tumse shaadi hone waali hai meri. Naam k liye hi sahi lekin main tumhara hone waala pati hoon, Uncle nahi. Call me AJ." and he walked away without waiting for a reply.
Guddan frowned as she watched him go. Her eyes never leaving him until he sat inside his car and drove away, "Chahe apni behen k liye hi sahi but I am taking this huge responsibility upon myself by marrying you. Kya hum iss rishte ko nibha payenge?"
