Hi guys. Here is today's update. A few surprises and pleasant ones at that.
Sharmaji (manager guy at Amrit travels) calls Amrit and tells her that one of their truck drivers ran a man over on the highway, killed him and ran away from the scene. Can someone come over to the office because Rishi's mobile is not reachable? B3 makes the dumbest comment ever about truck drivers driving trucks like aeroplanes. Sohni comes running down the stairs and lo and behold "its a new face"!
Beeji tells the family not to inform Simar about all this as she is already burdened and must go on honeymoon (is this a chore?)😕
Rano and Sohni go to the office. Meanwhile a crowd of riff-raff with lathis appears at the office shouting "murdabad" and "we want justice" etc. Sharmaji has in the meantime called Simar and informed her and she is all ready to go to the office. She tells Veera that the program needs to be cancelled to which Veera retorts "koi zaroorat nahin". Troubles come and go. You must not disappoint Rishi and slash his hopes because of problems in your mother's house. Get going for the honeymoon. Simar acquires the look of a shrivelled up prune!🤔
Cha (who has to justify his existence) commends Veera on her tactics to which she says the volcano has just erupted. Its going to get worse. She then calls Ajmer Singh and tells him that Simar and Rishi are out of town and so you can put the plan into motion.😈
The crowd outside is still shouting slogans. Sharmaji says that he has personally contacted Simar and Rishi should have arrived by now. The girls tell him that they did not want to burden her. They decide not to tell at home that Simar knows.
Okay! Our man Rishi (tried to read our zillion posts) and wore a jacket over his PASTEL shirt and sits very close to his wife who is wrapped in a hideous sari 😒. He asks Simar if all is ok. He says look we are in this relationship (when and how?) and so you must tell me everything 😆😆. Simar says "nothing, only i didnt speak to mother or beeji". Rishi says is that all, and fumbles around for his phone which he left at home. Veera finds it and gloats with Cha and Chi that the Khuranas cannot reach Rishi (well, rishi can call them right, resonant brain).
The girls call Rishi's phone again and Veera, Cha and Chi happily reiterate that Rishi forgot his phone on the table. Veera says the game has begun and the cyclone will wipe out the whole Khurana family.
Sohni and Rano implore the men to let them go to college. Sohni says that justice will be done as soon as Rishi comes. The men follow them making unwarranted remarks about why they need to go to college. Let them learn to cook and open and Amrit dhaba 🤣 as the transport company is closing down. The girls go home in a rickshaw consoling one another on the way and saying that they have to support the family. They reach home to a barrage of queries from B3. Women police are at the door. They want to know who is responsible for Amrit transport. Sohni bravely takes responsibility and is asked to go to the police station. There the rude policewoman keeps questioning them (rano and amrit accompanied) and threatening them that one night in the lock up will loosen all tongues.
By then, shoes clip-clop on the floor and approach the table. A male voice resonates - "wait"! I suspect we have a new entry here. Face is not shown yet.
Performances and comments:
1. 👏👏 It is so true that one should never judge a book by its cover. I had made up my mind that the old Sohni cant be replaced. The new one is good too, bedroom eyes and a fiery temperment to suit Sohni's personality. Welcome. You are going to be ok.
2. Oho Rishi, you are like a needle in the haystack in this episode. I have to hunt to find you sitting in that brown (😡) jacket trying to put up with that shrivelled up wife of yours. 😈
3. No one else deserves a mention expect Rano. She supported Sohni well bringing out fright, maturity and her naive nature during the office scene👏.
