This is so true in real life also .

The show has portrayed the love that Virat has for Sai as something that is equal to deewano wala pyaar, tadap , passion , dard..

Love is not love otherwise. A man who respects his woman is not an interesting man actually

Yep. We were taught in psychology how abused people often form a conception that this is what life has to offer, and if somebody is being genuinely nice to them they start being rude because they are paranoid that the other person is being good for some ulterior motive. Abuse is the only comfort zone for them and they don't want to get out of it.

A therapist friend once told me, "Sh*t is warm", meaning people will happily sit in a bad situation just because its comfortable and familiar even if it's sh*t.

Goes too well with not just Sai but also Pakhi, she never wanted to accept Sammy's good behaviour because by then she had become too used to the sh*t situation she was putting herself in. Even later she wanted to go back to V only, be it after Sam's death or post leap when she was married to V.
