This show has its ups and downs...like hella ups and downs. It swooped from the top of a mountain to the bottom of the ocean, and then preceded to do so all over again. Sine curve has got nothing on it. But right now this show feels extremely boring.
If I am to say why, then I feel it's mainly because they are stretching the storyline way too much. Earlier too there were several questionable storylines, but no matter how stupid or how wrong they were, they used to be over soon too. From ousting track to even Shruti one, they all had a distinct end in sight. But this track? It doesn't seem to have any end whatsoever. It started with the leap, and it has been continuously going on ever since, and there is no point in upcoming future where it will stop. The same Virat-Pakhi-Sai-Savi-Vinu loop has been going on and on. The only thing changing is the center of attention. At one point Savi is the most important person in everyone's life, then at other, it is Pakhi who is the best in the world, then it is Sai finally showing an emotion apart from strength (like what are her nerves even made of? Titanium?), then it is Vinu suddenly being a sensitive and idiotic brat (I never thought I would use those three words in the same sentence), and finally it is Virat suddenly remembering he loves someone apart from himself.
Like what is this show even about anymore?
Forget that, what even are the characters? What are their personalities?? Forget personality, what even is their motto for doing things??
Is Virat in love with Sai or is he not? Is Sai over Virat or is she not? Does Pakhi love Virat more or Vinu? Does Virat prioritize his children over Sai or Pakhi, or Sai over both?
The worst part is all this has already been sorted out multiple times before. Sai had found her closure during Virakhi 'marriage' and 'honeymoon'. Pakhi had already said that she is a mother and can do anything for Vinu even if it means losing Virat. Virat has already said that he will now move forward with Pakhi. Then why do people keep changing their motives? At one point, Pakhi is all about Vinu, and then at other point she keeps saying things like 'Tumhe kya lagta hai, agar tum bacchon ko le jaogi, to Virat mere saath rahega?'. At one place Virat is all about how mahaan Pakhi is and how much she has done, and then at another place, he is so desperate for Sai that he literally gives no care about the woman for whom he has been making all the sacrifice. At one point, Sai is all about how she is Vinu's mother, then at another she is totally fine with Pakhi being Vinu's family and being given the role that is rightfully hers?
I am not saying that people can't change their views and outlook on things. But here people don't just change their views, they change their entire mindset out of nowhere. We don't get to see things affecting them. We are just told that suddenly the whole thing that was the root cause of all the drama just doesn't matter anymore, cause there is now some other drama unfolding.
What is even happening in this show?
And now, that I know that this will keep on going for at least 10 more months, I don't think I even want to acknowledge this show's existence anymore. I am so done, not just done, I am totally and utterly bored and confused out of my mind.
The only redeeming thing this show had was that no matter what there was always some fun drama happening, and now, even the drama's not good. I thought Satya's entry would perhaps change things for the better, but he too turned out to be a lovesick bore. We have had enough of deewaanapan in this show, I just wanted someone sensible and practical for once. But apparently that was too much to ask for.
