I agree he could have handled it better. Sai herself was Kamal's sole inheritor, so all the pension, the savings everything usko milta, but I keep seeing people saying that he married her out of choice isiliye puching, coz i thought Ghum was precursor of Imlie.

That being said, he was about 25-28, itna bhi budhaau nahi tha!

No, he first refused to marry her but later his twisted sense of duty awaken after Sai attempted suicide, after that he took it on his so called farz to protect her, take her responsibility, make her doctor and fulfill the promise given to Kamal Joshi.

after Sai got discharged, she had a nice long conversation with Virat regarding their situation, their marriage also discussed Pakhi, their marriage conditions, durations and all, it was good episode……in that episode Sai even offers him to run away and she will handle the villagers but he refuses and was adamant on getting married…..

Virat first day of dutu, on his welcome cermony Virat requested Kamal to stay with him for fewmore days...kamal accepted that. At that time virat did nt know about Jagtap. It was sai who told Virat about Jagtap and Kamal VRS. Later on virat sanctioned VRS before hevus going to attend Samrat marriage, it is Kamal who requested Virat that not to reveal about his VRS status sai. Later on sai got kidnapped forced to marry, virat saved her, when they reached home Kamal revealed that Virat sanctioned his VRS but it takes couple of days to get relieved from duty. Later on Ispector Pawar came to take charge in Kamal JoshiPlace. Its Kamal Joshi who was adamant to take part in mission, and manipulated Virat emotionally by asking "GuruDakshina".

And he took bullet to save Virat...

Mariage Part he would have handled differently...but in that episodes villagers are more worried about sai safety and security not about age difference/ social and differences in their family status and all.

In tamil version sharanya (sai)'s father clearly asks Vikram(virat) to marry his daughter and takes vaada from him before his last breath.
