Kaku’s 180 degree turnaround is a mystery.
I have a theory on this - hear me out.
BK knows Sai so well, she is convinced of her kabiliyat, thats why she once declared Sai as her successor of CN parivar.
She chose her because she saw a lot of her good qualities in Sai- she has admitted this herself .
BK might have praised Paki for other things like saving Virat when he “lost his will to live” or saving their Santara business. BK even called Paki as ghar ki maalkin.
But she has never acknowledged Paki as her successor.
When Sairat remarried, BK accepted Sai as Chavan Bahu wholeheartedly. She had no doubt that Sai and Virat were perfect for each other.
Her only issue was Sai working.
She was convinced that a woman’s role is to manage family and household while man works outside.
Her biggest argument was -
agar tu bahar jaake kaam karegi to bacche kon sambhalega?
After a lot of drama,Virat supported Sai and Sai was adamant that she will continue to be a doctor and also told BK that she CAN handle both roles of bahu and doctor perfectly.
However BK was not convinced.
But this was PRE LEAP KAKU.
Fast forward to present tense - After BK heard Virat’s confession that he cannot live without Sai, BK was triggered to use her grey matter.
Aur kya palti maari hain -
she is now pro Sai because she knows Virat’s happiness lies with HIS FAMILY.
She has defined that concept to Savi - Tum, tumhari Aayi, baba aur Vinu dada - tum ek parivar ho.
Post leap BK is not against women having a career and probably not against Sai’s earlier argument that a woman can balance both career and family.
BK’s line to Paki yesterday reflected that thought -
Sai ko dekho, wo kisi ki raah nahin dekhi, wo akeli apne bacchi ko paala.
And BK saw how well Sai has brought up Savi , balancing her career and without anyone’s help.
On the other hand, Paki has an entire army with her, no proper career, a husband and still she is cribbing, insecure and raising Vinu as a darpok baccha.
BK can clearly see the difference and now she has eaten her own words against Sai.
BK now wants Sai back, not just for Virat’s happiness but also to be her utharadhikari in CN.
Paki’s days are counted.
BK will play her cards wisely, she wants Virat’s family to be secure and in the right place.
