OK I liked today's episode for several reasons. First and foremost as an amateur writer, I liked how they kept "all loose ends" still hanging. Every character trait in tact. Not revealing much in words but giving subtle hints in action...and "inaction"
I believe strongly that Virat loves Sai. Not because of my theory or the original, but because I didnt see any reason to believe otherwise. By extension and also by some conversations between Ash-Ninad recently we need to believe that Pakhi is Virat's duty. Whether this duty has/will turned into love or not is the plot point now. Is Virat involved with Pakhi emotionally or not....is there attachment/love towards her or not. Who is important to him. These are all the questions which will keep the plot going. How to evaluate Virat's actions today towards Sai and Pakhi in this life and death situation. I would say Virat still loves Sai and Pakhi is his duty.
Duty calls for "action". Love makes you incapable of "action" or say induces "inaction". If we see the episode like that it will give some insights. You "fall" in love. But you have to "raise" in duty. Thats what I see happening to Virat, both when sai was assumed dead and even now...momentarily.
The moment he saw the blood from Sai's head, he panicked. He was confused. His thoughts muddled. And went into trauma...momentarily. He was stoned till his children pleaded him to act. It is not the CPR that made the difference to me, it is his "inaction" for few moments reliving the trauma that gave away his emotions for Sai. He also said "I will not let anything happen to you". It is a personal conversation. He said "Hum sab theek hain" to all the 4. Survival instinct. He and his family. Momentary lapse of judgement and "forgetfulness" of his duty. He was completely safe in that moment, taking it fully till his mind is triggered by Vinu's call for his mother.
Now, Virat is not quiet even for a second. He is in "action" mode. His brain working completely fine. Contrast this to his heartbreak when Sai was dead last time and confusion today when he saw the blood. Brain stops working when you fear for your loved ones. I know both the accidents were different. There Virat had "proof" that she died. Here there is a hope. So he is fighting. What I want to draw attention to is how he is "Active" throughout in Pakhi's case...He kind of gave up for a moment when the bus fell down. He folded his hands in a "sorry". He failed her. He knows it because he was lost in his own family for sometime forgetting her. So he was apologizing. He is then triggered by Vinu's love for his mother. This is where I draw attention to the fact that Pakhi indeed is changed and she did give some genuine love to Vinu. The way Vinu ran for her, shows "love". Virat was put into action by Vinu. He wants to go and "save" Pakhi. He kept on saying that he has to save her. That is what he promised himself...that he will save her.
Pakhi is also stoned..."inaction" in love. But hers is pathological. She was clearly suicidal today. Atleast she should have understood Virat might be saving Sai as duty. There is no BoD. Because somewhere she knows Virat loves Sai. So as soon as she saw him with her, she lost it. No fight nothing. No will to live. If she is sane, wouldnt she come and fight with him? ask for answers? She didnt even remember Vinu. All the love she gave Vinu was remembered by the boy but she remembers only Virat. She wants only Virat to survive and he has been providing her that...through his words. And one more thing, Virat saw her just sitting there in the bus without a fight. He KNOWS she gave up. ππΌ
Sai's plight is interesting. How does "inaction in love" applies to her? IMO, Sai's love for Virat is nothing short of his. I would say her love is more liberating than his. His love for her is caging. Sai's inaction in love can be seen in two ocassions...one when her father died and when she thought of "losing" virat during second accident. both times she slipped into depression. Otherwise, Sai is extremely resilient under stress. She fights till the end with lot of grit. She also succumbed to inaction today, without helping her own kids under trauma. Usually Sai should do her best to protect her kids. But her love for Vinu crippled her today. Again love and inaction going together. The interesting thing and the best part I liked about writing is how they showed Sai absorbing Virat's reactions towards Pakhi. She never saw his plight when she died. she heard that he lost his will to live. But what she saw today would have erased that thought as well. She will never believe Virat's love for her or loyalty ever. Pakhi's testimony and his celibacy might convey her about his love in the past. But at this moment, she has seen Virat's "LOVE" for Pakhi. Only a "NO marriage" would work. That too is dubious after today. She might ask him to marry her now as she stood by him and she has "seen" him suffer when Pakhi fell into the khai. "Deal" days are back. I dont know how he will convince her.
So by drawing parallels, Virat is in "action" mode for his duty. And succumbed to emotions, even momentarily for his love. So he "fell" in love and "rose" in duty.
PS: Vinu is the conflict point. Pakhi's love truly touched him. There is a wonderful scene showcasing the future. Vinu runs towards Pakhi, Sai runs after him (leaving Savi).
