I didn't think it came across like that. In isolation that dialogue looks odd but it's not in overall scheme of things.

That's a picture she had imagined for her future with a man she loved. A similar situation had happened in panipuri scene.

It was Sai and V with their two kids...

Vinu who is lost now and Saavi who is the other loved one.

If V had not chosen... nothing of the sort would have happened. There's a remorse and regret at having lost Vinu because of that decision of P.

My guess is that remark came from the combined events of the day. Their anniversary, Vinu's loss and Saavis birthday. Everything was playing heavily on her mind.

She is feeling betrayed and that was pretty much clear from her antakshari song and her reaction to the cake. She also mused that it seems V has forgotten the Anniversary.. and it's good that he has.

I agree dear .. regret toh rahega hi . People who don’t have kids will not get it .. whether Sai loves virat or not is immaterial .. she will always regret her kid Savi not having a proper life , her son vinu not there in this world . So she will have regret whenever she passes through events like this .. you don’t wash it away

Yes true. Always one regret/sadness will be there that they could have been a happy family if not for Virats decisions and family s interference.

Even when Virat sang Lori in Sai s house with the kids, she felt the same and got overwhelmed.

Emon shared years of love with rono, so she tried to save his job out of blind love but the moment she got to know he is doing something against law, she took stand and filed complaint against him. She held him responsible for her kidnapping too. While sai said she is thankful for getting kidnapped otherwise she wouldn't have got to know Raja babu greatness. She behaved as if she didn't receive rape threat from sada.

Whole family told emon to get compromise with rono atleast for her baby sake, then only emon started seeking forgiveness from rono. But after a point she genuinely gave up. Later rono had to made efforts & finally they got united.

Unlike sai who did the acting of ignorance for one day despite abuse from virat & his family.

We can sympathise with emon because her forgiving rono was always showed as a compromise from her side because whole rono's family loves her, they have kid, so she had to do adjustments.

Still she left rono whenever needed without feeling any regret. Her post leap dialogues are awesome in kd.

While sai whitewashes her own abusers. We can't feel it is as adjustment from her side because she herself justifies her abusers actions.

The difference between Leena and vankar writing.

Rono is projected as selfish, misogynist man as he is but he is loyal to emon, choosed staying alone for years without family and wife instead of doing second marriage,emon is projected as strong woman who had to make compromise & adjustments to sustain her married relationship.

Virat sai are no where near to that characters now.
