Once Jagtap was obsessed with Sai but now his love has become more platonic and pure due to Savi.. He sees Sai in a new light a struggling single mother whom he respects a lots

You are right Chavans love is either caged or materialistic the main reason why Vinu is drawn towards Sai. Just like his father. But Virat never understood the difference. The only hope are these 2 kids who can show it to him.

The last line which sai had said to Virat he needs to remember that, “continue being the son of the house don’t be a husband and a father” - so true it was.

His pleasant, soft exterior has slowly peeled away to reveal the man he really is - much like what happens when we interact with a real life narcissist. Sai effectively walked into a tiger's den thinking it was Garden of Eden. Whether the writers wrote the Chavannis & Virat as narcissistic or not, I don't know, but they eerily fit the bill.
