I meant that there is a mindset of general public that MBBS, BDS graduates from top colleges will earn more, but they have to struggle alot before they can reach somewhere, as opposed to maybe an engineering, management field where the college you pass from matters because the companies that come for placements are accordingly, medicine: there is no placement, all are in the same sea when they pass, regardless of the college they got degree from. There are no placements as such, except for the ones who have their own family set ups.

Oh yes yes,I get it it's indeed difficult even MDS is full of struggles unless you get into any central hospital where their are limited seats.

Getting MD/MS govt seat is indeed difficult in India specially branch of your choice but if you are done with MBBS+ internship you can go ahead with interviews of MO(medical officers) and simultaneously prepare for PG exam I have seen many doing so.

I am doing MS currently, but the struggle to get in was real. It still is. Tho I did consider MO, eventually went ahead with surgery.

Many of my seniors did the same thing, giving interviews for MO , while preparing for PG.

Market's thin, and there are way too many people

Being a first generation MBBS/BDS grad in the family is tough, with no family background, you really have to work extra hard to get in a place.

Not saying that the ones having a background have it easy, they have their own set of struggles.
