Amazing how our fears run through so deep! Sai had that insecurity before confession. It played with her with full force in sruthi track. That time the situation warranted such fears. Now it looked so silly that virat blew up the issue so much. If not for his ego that she can leave him at this stage, I don’t know what made him behave like that! They must be making love all this while till recently because sai was suspected of pregnancy through out! Even then he thinks she can leave him!! Usually women don’t indulge in s*x actively if they don’t love a person. I don’t know what makes him think that she can leave him… unless he knows he committed a mistake and wronged her. And the righteous person his wife is, she might get offended. I think he didn’t expect her to leave him for pakhi. That she didn’t trust him enough when he said he will not let pakhi near the child?! Sai also was agitated after he himself gave away the child once. And she knows for a long time how low pakhi can stoop to.
I felt really bad that this time virat’s insecurities played a big role in causing this fight. It would have been resolved if he had argued and convinced her with his assurance. Or just an I love you , that they keep saying to each other 100 times 🙁"
Well Put! It is paradoxical. How love can give pleasure, confession makes one secure, but simultaneously makes one insecure, fearful and egotistic.
They had crossed that bridge of trust. This fight is worse than any before and ironically after they have come so close with a supposed "deeper understanding". When they were in their happiest space.
The problem actually lies with the fact that Sai has started to give in a lot post SH track. At that point it was her guilt but slowly she kind of inherited that part in her nature for love sake. She had started to surrender to V's versions long back. She had argued and fought with him since the implantation. But she never accused him. V has done it repeatedly. Despite knowing P's intentions, with the frustration of fighting this battle alone, she still understood why V was not agreeing to her and was supporting P. And that takes a lot more maturity. But all V did accuse her for being insecure and jealous. He never bothered. Sai had to get the proof to make anyone believe of P's crimes. Yet all he gave was a lame apology and was back with his attitude.
V was high on his ego and over confidence. For him, it has always been about his own assessment of the situation and people. And here too he believed that Sai would concede like she had so far. And Sai not really holding him up for giving Vinu to P. She really didn’t keep him begging for apology. He has always taken her for granted. So when she finally put her foot down, it hurt his ego. He couldn't take that Sai would actually leave him. He failed to understand that till now it was the wife who was fighting, today it was the mother. And she would even risk him for her baby.
That is complex dynamics. While we all know that a child will always be more dearer to the mother, when one is posed with that situation personally, they may not register this fact. That is what happened with V. He was viewing Sai's love for the baby like the others. And he expected her to keep him and his word above all. But for Sai, her baby was priority.
BK and gang were on their own trip to boost their ego but never realised the price they would have to pay. V supported them and they thought Sai would as usual surrender. But this escalated into the major fight between the V and Sai and resulted in Sai leaving with Vinu. None really accounted in a a probable risk.
