Part 10:

It was exhausting. Breaking off from Virat was not that easy. Sai just felt empty. From past few years, she has been living with Chavans and it breaks her heart to know that despite everything, she could not become one among them. For them, she was always an outsider. Jungli mulgi. The emotional abuse was too much for her. Sitting in her room, in Pulkit's house, she finally felt home after her aaba's demise.

Pulkit felt bad looking at Sai who was lost in her thoughts. She has been through a lot. He knows that she needs time. Even though she is putting up a brave face, only he saw how she was breaking when was cutting off Virat from her life. Well, love is painful.

"Sai" called out Pulkit in a soft tone. He could not help but notice how she quickly tried hiding her tears. "It is okay Sai , it is okay to cry" Pulkit occupied a seat beside her.

" Your aaba was snatched from you. You got married to a man who was in love with another woman. You were not welcomed in his house warmly. You were expected to understand everything, forced to change yourself" Paused Pulkit after looking at Sai's tearful face. " and manymore, it is okay if you want to weep over the broken relationship" concluded Pulkit in an extremely gentle tone.

" Jiju, Virat sir " and then she bursted. Sai started wailing. She just could not hold anymore. Hiding her face in between her palms, she cried and cried. Pulkit's heart pained to see her like that but he felt it is good to let it out than carrying the burden.

" Why me, I have given everything to this relationship. Still, I was always blamed. Cornered. Insulted. I loved him jiju, i really loved him" Sai's cries grew louder with each passing second.

" Was I not enough, I agree am immature and hot headed but, but " Sai could not continue anymore. No words could justify her pain

Her cries got replaced by silent sobs and she sniffled to control herself.

I want Sai to go through the sad phase without avoiding the pain or feeling low. She will come back stronger! And I want Pulkit to be her guiding force in this.

So depressing. Heart goes out to Sai. What a beautiful soul! Doesn't deserve this crap.

Part 11.

Life goes on. No matter what how hard it gets, we learn to survive. Same is happening with Sai. It would be too much to say that she is happy, but she is on the path of healing. The bruises on her soul are finally healing. Her hospital and home are her life now. ( Am assuming that Sai is a practicising doc during this track in serial). She is planning for her MD. Pulkit bhai, yes her brother only, not jeeju anymore is guiding her.

If not for him, she would have given up. It got tough after coming out of CN. She could not even move out of her room for one week. She don't even remember what all she did during that week. She just used to sit and stare at something. It was by the end of that week, Pulkit and devi dragged her out of her room and took her out on the pretence of family outing.

While Harini and Devi went to sit on a swing in the park, Pulkit gently guided Sai to a calmer spot. A small bench with rose plants near it. Sai showed no resistance.

" So, what is going on Sai" Pulkit started trying to understand her mindset.

" Am fine Jiju" smiled Sai.

" That is the problem Sai" sighs Pulkit. " You were not supposed to be fine" Says Pulkit trying to gauge Sai's reaction.

Sai got startled. From past week after her breakdown, Pulkit smiled whenever she acted normal.

" Jiju, it is" Sai tried making an excuse.

" It is okay, Sai" says Pulkit in a softer tone. He looked straight and started " You know what Sai, I was 22 when Devi was brutally taken away from my life. My whole world was shattered. I was numb with pain" says Pulkit staring at nothingness.

Sai heard multiple versions of this incident. But listening it from Pulkit is having a different impact on her. She is trying to understand what Pulkit is conveying.

Pulkit is aware of Sai's gaze on him. He knows that her grabbed her attention and then continues. " It felt as if my life ended then and there. I was an orphan, devi was everything I had in this world. It was terrible, Sai. The aftermath of losing yourself in love. I thought i would not sail through that storm, but here I am! " says Pulkit with a satisfactory smile on his face.

" You need not act Sai, not atleast infront of me." He turned towards Sai and at that moment, Sai could see fatherly affection in his eyes. Tears started pooling in her eyes.
