It's definitely a very good episode and virat steal the episode for sure..Bk can't dominate and make things as per view. Each one has a perspective and it has to be respected.. Even though bk is uneducated a simple humanity and manners had to be there..kyun 7 phere ruk ke blackmail karthaa hain .seems virat is offended mainly for that ..

BK being old one day she ll go and everyone will..Sai will be life long with virat and he loving her , his insecurity , longing on her anyone will do this but Lie not ..

Mohit ka serial aaj tak nhi dikhaya!! And where is that 1 lac wala television that Virat gifted to sai? And where does he gets his money from when he doesn’t even go to work for months now? 🤪

When Virat said “why no one asks if Samrat wanted to join army or sit at home to be ghar ka ladka” he sort of broke his character 🤣 usko hasi aai coz his character is nalla like the show’s male lead!

Today I felt Sai’s dialogue were more jalebei - i am confused with her dialogues.
In past episode she had been saying I love you to virat, mein aapse bahut pyaar karti hu . But today her with dialogues I felt that there is not importance of her love for virat in her life.

May be I was expecting more powerful reply from her saying stating that both are more important for her equally.

Or May I evaluate wrong. But I felt no clear or passion in her dialogues to prove her point that before it was her career now both of them are equally important for her now.
Also, i was expecting either virat or Sai would say that it virat’s wish to see her become doctor. When kaku said that her aaba is not more so her focus should be on her hufbsnd and his wish - Sai could have said that it virat wish too become doctor.

I don’t know but I felt this part should have better dialogues for Sai and Virat both.

Episode Review: 20 May

Truth is like water.... when clear, it nourishes... when muddled, it gives pain.

BK/Kishori owns the first half and V/NB the second...

Both were true to their character and brilliant in their portrayal.

Ghum has always been inconsistent in maintaining the storyline, so please excuse the whole righteousness BK has adopted. No one dares to question her on her own lies and deceit and no one ever will. Not even the new V with his ramrod steely spine.

So leaving that aside right away the episode works for a few important points it tries to make. Hopefully it continues tomm as well and there is no quid pro quo from BK to Sai.

BK questions V and quickly realizes the white lie he gave her on the 7th phera.

V tries to pacify her but she is beyond understanding at this point.

It looked to me somehow that BK was subconsciously comparing her and Sai's importance in V's life.

That's why her anger is so much.

She is upset and angry that V played her, her emotions and her values. She steadfastly believes that what she is saying is right. A girl can either be a bahu or working woman... cannot be both and therefore she was right in asking Sai to sacrifice one.

Sai at this point mentions quite harshly that she would have indeed chosen her career given a choice... and its with pain. V is broken but then he mentions that he had imagined exactly the same. That Sai would walk away from him and he cannot bear to even think of it. They have reached this stage after a lot of trials and tribulations and it would be unfair to test them again on this.

I loved this part... that V indeed understands Sai's motives and dreams and that she would walk away from him inspite of loving him so much. If there was any doubt for anyone that V doesn't know Sai, Vanku proved otherwise here.

BK then argues that V did apmaan of that pavitra agni and V retorts in a way that by saying all this BK is doing apmaan of his and Sai's relationship, their pyaar.

V continues on his sahi waqt and sahi mauka when Sai mentions that we wanted to tell you the truth. BK replies that you were making me bewakoof.

Even though this dialogue was meant for the current situation, it is actually reflective of everything V did in Shruti track. He held on the truth for his own motive... kept on lying and keeping everyone in dark. Then it was Sai and now it is BK. Even if he had planned to speak the truth, his sahi waqt never came and the situation went out of control. Thankfully it was more contained this time. BK agrees that had it been not Sai... ye baat abhi bhi nahi pata chalti. You were planning to lie more and playing with my emotions.

V finally grows a spine... V says I would like to reply... Sai will be doctor and bahu both and rahi baat Doctor banne ki to Sai to Doctor banke rahegi...

And Slappppp.... everyone is shocked.

I still feel it was unnecessary....

But it also feels like this was Vanku putting a message for all the fans... we all wanted some kind of punishment for V. Only BK could do that to him. And considering the previous conversation about hiding stuff and white lies... it really felt like this slap was not just for this incident but for all those previous mistakes V has made.

Sai is hurt, questions BK why did you slap him... he only wanted to do good.

V takes over from here.

His diplomacy and non confrontational attitude is used here. Up until this point BK has the upper hand, V listens to her and after this systematically destroys her every point. NB owns it from here.

BK scolds Sai but unlike his usual behavior V doesn't throw Sai under the bus. He stands by her like he promised. He explains that Sai doesn't want to lie and has been pressurizing me to tell you the truth. This man doesn't learn na... Ash also tells him that you broke everyone's trust... I sincerely wish somebody had mentioned that you have done this earlier and you are doing it again.

Pakhi plays her usual nonsense. Sai replies.

A brilliant line is given by V at this point and I really commend the writers for this.

"Bacchhe tab jhooth bolte hai jab unhe lagta ki unka sach na to suna jayega, na samjha jayega aur na us sach ka maan rakha jayega"

This is the whole crux of why V lied. He didn't believe BK would agree to whatever truth he would speak. Or even listen to him. I had made this point that day that BK only says she loves V but doesn't really care about his feelings otherwise she would not have put this condition in the first place knowing his love for Sai. V reiterates the same thing today with that dialogue. Uske sach ka maan nahi rakha jaata. Hence he lied.

Then the emotional drama of how BK lied to V in childhood for his bhalai. V says this jhooth was for bhalai. Lied because I wanted to save my relationship with Sai and heartbreaks for everyone.

He manipulates BK with the retort that she uses for her convenience everytime... Parivar ko bachane ke liye... Good job V.👍🏼

V then mentions that he and Sai both were hurt that you could even ask such a question. It was blackmail. 👏

Sai has a brilliant dialogue here... That its difficult to choose between career and love. You broke me into pieces. V is not my dream, he is my future. I would be incomplete without any of them. Beautiful... its a conflict every woman faces each and everyday.

I wish V would have said that Sai ka Doctor banne ka sapna mera bhi hai.

V mentions the order.. Sai is a doctor first, then my wife and then your bahu. Nicely done... kudos ❤️. I hope he remembers it later though when testing times arrive.

V questions why the differentiation between Bahu and Beta. If beta can fulfill both responsibilities why cant a bahu too? Should have said daughter too... but thike.

The brothers finally find their voice and support the idea of Bahu working. And Vanku impressed me more here ... I was expecting some token support from Sammy for Sai... but it did not expect Mohit to stand up too... and certainly not for their wives.

Sammy and Mohit standing with V to prove that they will support the idea of their wives working was a brilliant take. And not just me but even Karishma was surprised. She started with her usual jab at Pakhi but when Mohit calls her name, I was expecting his usual... Karishma chup ho jao...

Instead we get a tum bhi shaadi se pehle job karna chahti thi... wah... dil jeet liya aaj to... K is impressed.. has heart eyes for Mohit... 500+ episodes main I guess this is the first time he has stood by her openly and that too for good. Aaj Mohit ko bhi action milega 🤪

Verdict:

While it was always meant to be a career vs family, I had assumed it would be only Sai who would win in the end with V supporting her. So he did not falter in that. Laaj rakh li 😳

But the bigger flip was all this discussion led to support for other two bahus getting permission to work.

This is the recurrent topic that was there since Sai started college. It came to fruition today when every Bahu is finally getting the chance to pursue her own dreams.

Ghum has always had this tendency to rush through good tracks and club everything in one go... this episode falls into that same category. I hope the momentum continues somehow though.

The episode dealt with a lot of issues at once... Career vs family, expectations of a bahu in her own household, gender discrimination and the blatant misogyny and patriarchy.

Is sab main se kitna aage forward hota hai and CN wasis kitne change hote hai pata nahi but its a good start...

Sai is the benchmark ... everyone looks up to and aspires to..... I do wish Karishma appreciates Sai now... and openly be on her side now that she has that chance.

"Aurat kya cheej hai... un logo ko samjhna chahiye ki Aurat koi cheej nahi hai"...

Please continue this... don't flip this V again.

In the end, good episode among the usual drub.

But the other part is where Sai says its difficult to choose between Career and family/V.... I would be incomplete and there would be no bahu neither Doctor.

I didnt feel it was jalebi... she anyway had few dialogues today.

Yes it was very clear that for her both are important. She could have chosen career only at bullet point because it is the only connection, a shared dream with her deceased father! I would have done the same. Good thing is Virat knows it! 👍🏼

This is exactly the picture the makers want to convey.

Virat has been labelled in the past as spineless and someone who couldnt stand for his wife.

The thing is, he needed a lot of confidence from his wife to take that stand. Sai was blow hot, blow cold mode.

The confidence that came in with the confession that she loved him. And the feelings were permanent, not a deal one.

Henceforth he is not going to take any more nonsense about Sai. Not from Kaku, not from ZA and certainly not from Dr Thorat.

Hope you all agree to this!
