Virat asks Sai for a leap of faith......

In today's episode, much to the dismay of logical minded people, which accounts for most of the fandom on this forum, including me, Virat asked for a leap of faith from Sai - the act of believing in or accepting something outside the boundaries of reason, and she delivered, in the hope that the blind belief she has placed in Virat's love will not disappoint and let her fulfil her late Abba's dream.

If I were in Sai's place, I would have walked as that is my nature - a free, impulsive and independent person who won't be constrained, certainly not by patriarchal dictates, or in this case matriarchal commands. Ideally, I would have liked Virat to step up to the plate and let the world and Kaku know, he will always support Sai in all her endeavours, especially in her dream to become a doctor, in which they have mutually invested so much, and which was the primary reason for their deal marriage. However, Virat who is so inconsistent in taking a stand, chose to stay quiet and solemnise the marriage today.

I am giving him the benefit of the doubt in that he didn't want a confrontation with Kaku and the rest of the troll army on Shivani and Rajeev's wedding day, and was desperate not to lose Sai after their tumultuous journey, and just wanted to complete the last phera. Well now, he has done that, it's time for him to repay Sai’s trust in kind and support her in becoming a practising doctor and lay her fears to rest, which were evident on her face. If Sai is shackled, she won't be the loud, carefree and lovable girl he fell in, only a pale imitation of her, and most importantly she will come to resent Virat for what she has given up at such a young age. Not the basis for any relationship....
