It's one thing to give upon someone completely, doesn't like to reconcile again & get over but continue harbouring feelings deep inside but won't show it that's not how they're showing him this show. It'll only get cleared once they show his reaction when Sai is seen with some another guy.

Like in IPK there was a phase ASR would keep saying to Khushi on face I hate you etc on a loop but that's not what he meant. He said in hurt & to hurt Khushi. In this show its looking different.

you're comparing a romantic story with god-knows what genre show. Ghum doesn't certainly fall in romantic genre, even the shows targeting Senior Citizens would have more romance than this one, certainly more positivity - some humor or something. Gul Khan's shows are a separate category.. she's one of the best - when it comes to handling romantic genre, even Saurabh Tiwary is pretty decent.

About Virat's poker face.. I have nothing to add more at this point in time.

It's not just poker face. It's the character sketch. In post anniversary it was clear he's very much in love with her despite his shitty behaviour with Sai but rn it's entirely a different case!

Virat's character sketch went for a toss long before but yeah for now.. I'm not sure.

At the moment, I can see he's pissed at everyone for not trusting him & especially Sai for leaving him. I don't think divorce effected him much rather than the part of her planning to leave/ditch him.

I recall a vague dialogue in the past that.. he'll tolerate everything but not her leaving him. The day she does that, he will not run after her to bring her back. I could be wrong with the dialogues but that's what I recall watching or reading on this forum. I don't watch all the episodes, so I can't be 100% certain. This is strictly my POV.

I haven't watched KD or any other version, to compare with.. Based on my experience with ITV, I take everything with a pinch of salt - characters take a 360 degree turn overnight.

If they were remaking KD .. should have copied it fully I have seen the series it is sad .. but it is truthful n logical even the end is logical ..

You are right.. Neela understand human psychology like no other.. Vanker just did not understand what leena wanted to say..

Yes KD was regressive and quite toxic.. But he just chose the toxicity and places it where it's not suited at all..

He is literally picking lines from twitter reviews or some from here.. 😆

The way Sai realized her love it's painfully beautiful.. It just heart piercing..She is orphan and Virat is the only one she has.. She just wants to keep him anyway.. But still she isn't understanding the real dynamics of a man and wife relationship ..

The particular line from Devi "You never had boyfriend?? To which she replied "Before I could have one Virat sir married me"

You see this dialogue has many undertones.. She married Virat just after her Aaba died and didn't get the time to collect herself for marriage.. And also Virat has blocked the avenue to share a conjugal life with her.. Virat's advances were so subtle unlike KD..

Now coming to Virat. .i have given up on this character.. I'm not able gauge his present emotions.. What peeps saying are correct it requires good director and writers to put it.. But currently we are getting zilch virat.. I guess makers want to keep it as suspance ..buts not a suspance thriller but just simple human emotions.. Even if Virat says he loves Sai after certain point of time wouldn't it look misplaced??

See this is not exactly a love story . This is a story of a married couple who are together in unusual circumstances.. and the trial and tribulations in their life which keep them Separate or together ..

Virat did not fall in love with Sai .. he accepted her as his wife by heart .. and when he did that .. his expectations for a wife decided his behaviour .. all his ardour for Sai is his his physical and emotional needs for a partner .
it is something which unfortunately 80% of Indian men feel .. because most of us are conditioned to accept arranged marriage .. where we train our mind to fall in love with our chosen partner

If virat had been married to pakhi / shruti / Karishma he would have behaved the same .. as his mind would have chosen the person as partner

however virat wants to be idealistic .. once he accepted Sai as wife .. he would not give this position in his heart to anybody else .. so his mind / heart is closed to other woman .. all the support and favours he does is . To feel righteous and good .. Virat as a person wants to be great .. which is not wrong .. a lot of men have this drive to achieve something.. they are not driven by personal feelings .

Also virat is not a metrosexual he is more driven by what his family elders .. his love for Sai is also subject to her performing all the duties as his wife as demanded by his family ..

Another problem in their marriage .. is Sai has never opened up to virat as a partner yet .. so he does not get to know what Sai really wants .. though he has always tried abd wished Sai do that . She becomes diffident .. except her relationship with her father ( child like ) her college life , career goals , personal like is all a mystery to virat .. I am sure virat is not even aware what is her favourite movie star or song .. though he has tried a lot to know .
now he knows she likes driving his car around

one of the reasons the story is a hit .. because a lot of the woman watching don’t live the life with a person who has fallen in love with them .. they get no fairy tales but are weighted down by unreasonable expectations from a husband and his family as soon as they are married ( though Ghum goes too far and extreme )
