I agree with both Nethraa and Sherry.
I dont have any hopes of anything useful from IBF. I dont expect that they will force star to take down the objectionable content. Infact I dont even expect a tokem apology for hurting sentiments of audience.
However their exuses of "creative liberty" , "fiction" are all flimsy. There's a thin line. Its one thing to show people commit fraud, illegal activities, be crass, immoral etc and its another to do it through a lens of making it all acceptable or portraying it as a minor hurdle, no big deal, sugar-coating it..
We know that on ghkkpm there's no repercussions for any character for their criminal deeds. Ips officer is utterly useless because he himself is a criminal - since he is mute spectator to everything and he himself has been shown to place some ridiculous promise to a Naxalite over his duty. Toh this is just another demo of how useless he is. Allow illegal things to happen.
Ultimately in their best case scenario, even if they say it's fake because embryo did not implant or whatever else, the fact remains that they are showing an illegal act happening and an IPS officer allowing it.
V shows that an unborn fetus, the words of manipulation trump his marriage, his wife's consent and his wife's feelings.
If a guy is shown to proceed with something like surrogacy without the consent of the biological mother no matter what the stakes then its unacceptable.
If they cared only about drama quotient they could have shown V eventually make the right choice, could have shown last min mein pp ka pardafaash. But they didn't do either. So now even if pp does not have a successful implant, fakes pregnancy, or has miscarriage later- it won't matter too much except it will placate Sai's grief of seeing pp being pregnant with HER embryo, HER fetus to a tiny extent. But if they show her go to full term , deliver the baby then it will be a lifelong sore spot for Sai sadly.
They got enough feedback, enough time and chances to mend their plot but they are serving things which cannot be undone or salvaged anymore. Because even their best case scenario has ruined V and Sairat..
So whats the purpose of the complaints then? just for our closure, our peace of mind - to know that we did everything to tell the concerned people that we condemn the content of this show and we can quit the show happily knowing we spoke out against trash content.
