With so little sairat last week, i watched older episodes of ghkkpm over the weekend specifically the episode after the trip that didnt happen and before Sai's lunch with Pulkit.

Specifically the scene where Virat apologizes to Sai for asking her to go on the trip with him which caused so much drama and backlash for Sai. The discussion as usual ends up in an argument and Sai pointing out that Virat hides his feelings for Pakhi behind the label of friends. Virat is very hurt by this, rightly so but when he takes the same explanation to Pakhi. Pakhi is joyed for Virat to bring up the feeling of love for her which he instantly shoots down. His exact words were that Pakhi knows her feelings but from Virats side it is only friendship and his brother's wife. He conveniently forgets that Pakhi on her wedding night told him that she loves him and only him.

Virat when it is convenient forgets Pakhi's feelings the same way as Sai forgets Virat's feelings. The same will come up in the cafe scene when Virat expresses his love for Sai and Pakhi wants to get together with him.

The flip argument for this would be that Sai should already be in love with Virat and shouldnt doubt his feelings. But Sai is afraid to let her heart be involved when Virat told her not to expect anything from him and she doesnt want to be the cause for him to break his promise. As Virat tells her in the scene i watched, she has walls around her, he said ego and pride but i think they are for her security.
