But I think after the alta incident he slowly started realizing his feelings and became more expressive during Holi.

Yeah nicely captured. He always liked her and admired her. His respect for her grew in DIG track I guess. He saw her as someone to cherish, but yeah he saw her as a woman and was attracted to her during yellow saree festival and that filled his missing puzzle piece in the transition from deal to dil. I think from that day onwards, he always saw her as his wife. He realized he cannot live without her after he had gone for training before holi. 👍🏼

He was attracted during GC already, her muhfat, strong character was endearing to him, did awake some type of curiosity probably as he's used to blindly following whatever elders say but at their first meet itself Sai denied taking his blessings. He has cared for her since the beginning and started falling in love in GC already. The first time he started realising it himself was, I think there was a scene during Mahashivratri(?) where he has a intern monologue, something along the lines of 'mujhe tumhare hone na hone c fark padta hai' when Sai mentions leaving him after her study completes. I don't remember it exactly but that was first time he accepted that he couldn't live without her. He probably realised his feelings completely during Amravati but I was deeply saddened how they handled his love realisation. That was so sudden at holi, I couldn't connect at all, he was out of nowhere ready to propose, say ILY. I missed a proper realisation.

He felt the rush when he first saw her at the stage in GC.No wonder he didn't even recognize his two days Yoga lob 😛He used to be so protective of her.. Even mentioned that he would love to meet her often at Nagpur..

Thats the best part of the Virats journey, they always showed him reacting to Sai. He wanted to take her with him on Pakhi's trip, he wanted to take her out to dinner. He is mesmerized with her formal looks and misses her when he went on his trip before holi. But Sunny had to point it out to him at Holi for him to take any action about it. And again after Sai brought up Virakhi's past and went to Pulkits house. He was mad at her but didnt pay attention to her feelings till Sunny forced him to evaluate her actions and not her words. I think after that hospital scene he was fully in love with Sai.

On the flip side, someone said he fell for Sai after he stopped loving Pakhi. He clearly told Pakhi that the only feelings he had were for her were that of his brother's wife after Sai went to Pulkits house for lunch. So that has never been an issue since he told Pakhi to marry Samrat. He got over his infatuation very quickly.

Fall out of lob will happen when he was in love with here at first place. He never loved didi, it was only infatuation and guilt.

I believe he started falling out of 'love' from Pakhi soon after the DIG incident. Pakhi threw a tantrum - that she was leaving for her mayka because apparently everyone was insulting her. Virat started to understand her true nature. And parallely understand what a gem Sai was.
