Yes, it would have been competely different.
First of all, Pakhi wouldn't have the I-am-so-lonely-so-pity-me card which basically saved her in every situation where she messed up. Secondly, they (her and baaki ke Chavans) would have no excuse to try and stop Virat and Sai from going out or spending time with each other, since, majority of time their excuse is "Patralekha akeli pad jayegi" as if she is SaiRat's responsibity. Thirdly, it would have been much more easier for Virat to move on with Sai and to defend her, given most of the time, if not everytime, he holds back because of his guilt that because of him Pakhi had to marry Samrat and live like this and also because he feels obliged to keep Pakhi happy in Samrat's absence, which is something completely understandable, and not only him I think most of the family thinks so. Lastly, Pakhi's actions would have been more criticized. Everything Pakhi does, from spying on SaiRat to getting angry at their closeness, is dusted under the carpet because when it is time to bring it up they all get distracted with Samrat's worry. But if he had never disappeared, then it would all have been much more highlighted and visible to every family member, and no one would actually side with Pakhi at it the way they do now because siding with her would mean going against Samrat, who is their son. Plus, I also believe that Pakhi wouldn't have the guts to do all this with Samrat present. Also, it is my opinion, that maybe then Pakhi too would have moved on with Samrat, if not completely then at least it would have been much easier for her to stop her obsession with Virat. I think that Samrat being missing played a huge role in her increased attachment, bordering obsession, with Virat,

Initially jo Virat guilt trip per tha...saara raita usi ka failaya hua hai...Pakhi became bold and emotionally maipulate karne mein maahir ho gayee....if Virat would have reacted sensibly on the first night on Pakhi's unexpectable behaviour...kurte per lipstick ke daag dekh kar...the situtaion would have been diferent...samrat hota ho Pakhi uss raat Virat ke room mein aati hi nahi na...😂 😂
