Sai saw the figure beyond the pillow wall who was in a deep sleep. She knew that he was tired, not only physically but somehow mentally too. Today the day for him was full of unforeseen events. First,the anniversary mishap caused by her and then his reunion with his brother, Jeeva. She was extremely happy that she could return his Jeeva to her man. That she could find him for him. Not that this man tried a lot, but destiny might have wanted her only to give her man, his Jeeva. Realising that her hands were not reaching to his head due to the pillow as she went to caress his head, she moved a bit closer to the pillow wall, removed the two upper pillows and caressed that man's head. Her face automatically lit up to a smile seeing that man's sleeping face, where he looked like a cute baby.
"He looks so cute while sleeping, why can't he be like this? Khadoos Jasoos." She thought smiling while caressing her husband's head.
She moved a bit closer to him, noticing how he was exhausted for the day. Upon recalling the day, she felt a bit sorry for the man as he did so much for her but at that moment, her insecurity took a toll over her and all the things got wasted.
She didn't know what she wanted at that moment. Somewhere she was feeling special that her husband arranged for such a warm and lovely surprise but the words of the yoga trainer and those said at their marriage haunted her back. She knew that their marriage was a deal and yet she was expecting it to be real. Those words of the yoga trainer brought back to her reality, the reality which she didn't want to accept anyhow..
Sai's thought got broken as she realised Virat squirming in his sleep. She got watchful as she tried to find the reason. Upon realising that he might be feeling cold, she hurriedly got up and fetched a blanket for him. She wrapped that around him, when the memory of the previous day flashed in her mind.
She chuckled at remembering how she was scared of a lizard but she knew that her man would save her. Those moments in their relationship were really precious for her and she could cherish those for the rest of her life. She didn't know if she would get someone else in her life but she knew that she would cherish this man and his gifted memories for life.
She blushed at the next moment as she remembered what happened after the cute banter they had regarding "Chipu", the lizard. Ha ha..her Virat Sir definitely had some amazing yet unique naming capacity. Who could keep such a cute name for an ugly monster? Only he could. Maybe he should keep their children….. what she was thinking. That's not possible. But she's sure he would keep amazing names for his children.
Her thoughts again went back to the previous day when both were wrapped in each other's arms. Red colour rose again on her cheeks thinking how both were into the moment that time. Only if the doorbell didn't ring…..
"No..Sai you should not think like this, he's not yours…" her brain reminded her, bringing her back to harsh reality. Her face fell from the thought that she could never have him. The relationship was just a farce. And she had to leave him after 4 years or before. Her eyes welled up thinking about the time when she had to leave him. One part of her emotional mind reminded her that she didn't want to leave him and another part of her rational mind kept on reminding her that she would have to leave him, might be for his sake too.
"Sai you have time...4 years is a long time period, anything can happen…. maybe he has moved on...see he wanted to surprise you…. you only observe how he supports you, always thinks of your happiness, always cares for you. Just try to see beyond those words..." her heart tried to explain to her. She knew, somewhere this might be true, that he moved on and may be... he loved her…. just like she does. She didn't want any explanation, just a small affirmation from him that he loves her and whatever he said on the wedding day was false at the present day. She just wanted this marriage to be a real one and to be with him forever.
Sai moved her hands downwards from his hair to his cheeks caressing them. She could see with her touch, his lines of tension were getting eased. She felt happy that at least she could provide some relief to that tired man. She wanted him to apologize for her rude behaviour and also wanted to be part of his joy of getting his Jeeva back. She could feel he was not behaving normally with her. Even beyond the happy face of getting his Jeeva back, she could see an indifferent face for her. Well she might deserve this, because she knew she hurt him badly. She again felt like crying thinking about that. She wish, she could go behind the times and make things alright! She definitely didn't want her man to be disappointed, but her insecurity at that time... ruined everything. She just wanted a small affirmation from him, that he's hers and no one else's. She wouldn't care about the entire world, what they think, she just wanted him to tell that he her's and no one else's. She wanted him to know that she also became jealous at the mention of someone else, possessive for him and didn't want to leave him.
As she was in her chain of thoughts, suddenly her daily alarm rang, which she kept to remind her to sleep as she sat for late night study, indicating her to call it a day.
She didn't bother to go back to her sleeping position, she took a pillow from the pillow wall and slept holding his hands reminding herself that she just needed a small affirmation from his side. An affirmation!!
