Thanks for the translation, Asmi. The circle draining is just so ridiculous! I hope they are cutting down some of the pointless tracks leading to confession given how much they have stretched Samrat’s re-entry and this track so far.

Because we expect her to always feel strong and not be hurt and confused and broken when the only man she is attached to, she feels close, see calls family is going away from her and there is literally no one, no one to look back to .. If feeling emotions, insecurities were so easy to let go, just by use of rude words, I would have preferred for her to leave this man..and also if words rude words could make feelings go, that way Virat would have left her long long long back...

When I think about it, I feel Kusum Dola is not a love story or the story of Emon and Rono. It is actually the story of Emon. A theme of how a strong young woman will act or make decisions when she has no one in the world. She has no choice but to make do with the circumstances given to her - accepting Rono as her husband, living in his toxic family - and she tries to do it with as much dignity as possible and by gathering whatever courage and strength she can muster. Whatever serious flaw Rono has, she decides to stick by him because she doesn't have anyone else. In a way, she is an extremely strong woman. While it looks regressive, may be if we view it from this angle, it reflects reality of women who do make compromises.

Don't know why KD reminds me of Amrita Pritam's 'Pinjar' - which seems unpalatable in some ways but has a lot of complex themes.

I find Ghum a little dangerous sometimes. In KD, Rono was not a handsome, charming young man like Virat. He was grim, straight-faced and reticent. Nothing about him or the relationship was something that would attract the audience. Here they show Virat being all charming, treating Sai like a princess and also being abusive - this is exactly the recipe for making naive women fantasizing it as romance.

Exactly... He is a prince one day and a devil the other..Its all on his mood and his relationship with Sai... Also he is said to be "deeply" in love with Sai....and Sai has no man to explore, in general to know better men..She wont give her heart that chance..SO yeah dangerous it is...
