Although Virat being angry is justified, Sai’s lie is a white lie, she is of self sacrificing nature. She is more concerned about Devyani and getting her out of that house to save her from ongoing abuse. The problem here is Pulkit who is neither willing to stand up for himself nor prove his innocence. And with Ashwini asking her to not inform Virat, Pulkit not willing to inform because of his gratitude, she is left with no choice. She’s a teenager and impulsive. Exactly I have serious issues with the high regards Sai has for Pulkit.He does not deserve it. He comes across absolutely selfish and opportunist since the first day he visited CN.. She finds no issues in his ways since the time she knew he is married to Tai.. There was nothing in the first place for her to believe Pulkit. AFter the kidnapping track may be the Chavans themselves jumped into the well and proved Pulkit was right all along..However still Sai agrees to agree to whatever he says..she also agreed to lie, a character trait that was never there in the Sai in the first place..They kept establishing Sai joshi never lies..and yet she is not lying to Virat at any given step.. Moreover..Virat needs to be informed , told about Devi's condition, even if there is an attempt of suicide he needs to know first...the solution is not to rush her to mandap...but to make Virat re-investigate the the entire case like he promised.She could pressurize him to do background checks..to check who sent the letter..and things would come out in a day or two..there was no reason and need to get Pulkit married to Sai the very same day...

I think Sai wanted to tell virat the truth many times but has been held back by pulkit, aai- she holds them both in high regard as peopls older n wiser. So she has been COERCED into listening to them. In her eyes, rather than lying shes postponing telling the truth. She thinks that once devkit are married she will reveal the truth to virat n he will believe her but she hasn't prepared enough. Her account of what happened will not be enough against the word of bk gang plus sonali/pp joining in taking Sai down. This time aai also wont support her. So it'll not go down well. But separation should happen in a dignified way and not like hand holding/food denial. If everytime in anger viray transforms into this monster who loses even humanity- ki khaana/paani nahi denge, stand outside in the middle of the night,etc- then whats the point. Hopefully they change that aspect. And i hope atleast once virat is shown questioning why Sai would do something so drastic. She loves devi. Is she really petty enough to ruin someone's life just to prove her point especially after doubts being raised about pulkits character etc. ?

Exactly my point. You’ve summarised my thoughts. Also, Virat for once, needs to trust Sai. Why would she make such a drastic move? He should think, “It’s my Sai, who never lies, who stands up for injustice, what has compelled her to do this?”

Also I don’t think this warrants breaking off the marriage, that’s a huge thing to do and he will do it. But he’s an adult, we can expect more maturity from whom which comes with age and his profession. Whereas Sai is a teenager, as I’ve explained above ^ she will stand up for injusice and do anything to put an end to it. It’s not about her promise to Pulkit, it’s about her love for Devyani, her inherent goodness, self sacrifice, and having the courage to stand up to what’s wrong.

I am okay with Virat being very angry, but not “throwing out of the house.”
