Virat felt guilt-ridden and a sense of responsibility towards sai, which is why he married her. However, my issue now that is troubling me with virat is that he seems to keep reminding sai all the time of everything he did for her when he is angry and upset with her (when already his family insult and taunt her for this same thing) which of course for a self-respecting girl make her feel inferior and low.

The reason why I hate virat doing this is because yes he has done so many good things for sai, but as you guys may have heard, you do not do a good deed with the expectation of a reward in return, otherwise it decreases the value of the good deed committed as it no longer becomes a selfless deed. Anytime virat in a harsh tone talks down to sai about reminding her of all the favours he has done for her, it lessens the goodness of that deed, as it seems as if he did it with some expectation in return or so that he can use the reminder of all the favours he has done to her as leverage over her when she angers him. I mean he himself said to her not to expect anything from him out of this marriage besides what they had discussed he would help her with, yet that is not what he is doing.

Virat is getting on my nerves now..

Ok undeestood tgat they don't want to show only good side of the ML, every person has some grey shades to themselves but virat has more of black shades.

He's turning out to be 2 nahi 3 nahi multiple faced man, chauvinistic to the core and contradictory to himself again n again.

The other day he himself said na ki "maine tumse shadi tum pe taras kha ke nahi ki" then why are you ehsaan jataoing now? Ki maine ye kia wo kia..

And yesterday he told her ki sabko ek hi nazar se nai dekh sakte, then what does he do when he wants sai to behave like other bahus.. and the next moment the stance changes for despokhi

I mean he's turning out to be spineless.. I don't want to see such a male lead.

He is deeply patriarchal. He married Sai to satisfy his 'male-saviour' ego. Despite all his claims of maturity, he doesn't even consider that Sai is an 18 year old and therefore entitled to be 'immature'. TBH Sai is more mature than what he gives credit for. He does support her in major decisions like her medical school admission, but is silent spectator to all the taunts Sai receives. He blames Sai for standing up for herself. It doesn't even enter his mind that if Sai was the cause of discord in the family, why his own mother supports Sai? Why doesn't he feel for the suffering his own mother went through in that house - which she has openly expressed? Clear mark of insensitivity and lack of empathy .😡

His relationship with Sai too at times borders on manipulation and abuse (punching bag). That he is much older to the teenaged Sai makes the manipulations creepy.

And don't even get me started on his relationship with Pakhi. Not only is it toxic, but he also keeps two women in expectations - by his promise to Pakhi and by excercising too much haq and familiarity on Sai. That is plain two-timing and dishonest.

What do you all think?

I too don't understand what's wrong with Virat. I started watching this show because I thought it must be free of family drama since the male lead was an ACP, so it would be mostly about his duty. But, now it is the same old stuff. I'm very disappointed. Years back there was a show on SP which had a very strong male lead but after a few months the male lead became dumb just to glorify the female lead. I hope this doesn't happen with Virat's character too.

However, since he is the ML we tend to give him the benefit of doubt. He is indeed a grey character, but his greyness is on the darker side.

Perfectly said 👍🏼. I don't know why Indian serials cannot show a relatable albeit flawed ML. Or if you want to have a darker character as ML, keep him as such....don't whitewash him😔. Propagating patriarchal message to society.

Agreeing to every word here. I am sure I would have hated Virat for such behavior if he was openly a negative character.

I know we are irritated af with all this Pattharlekha drama but I will still hold Virat responsible for her condition. He is a 'grown' man and 'matured' with age but still got his so called love married to his brother knowing well that she didnot want to marry him.

Virat is a cop who deals with real life situations and crimes... Doesn't he know that what all can be dobe in the name of love?

He had no right to make decisions for his so called best friend and brother. And he is only stringing her along. He kbows veery well that PP married Samrat only because of his vaada or she would have refused the marriage after meeting him.

Virat’s behavior with Sai is total different level of craziness which I don't want to get started on...

Bang on post..men are giod players🤢👎🏼no words for a person like virat who acted like blind when hisnown mother was suffering.👎🏼no more comments.titally disappointed with him..

i wish neil didnt take up this role at all...i can tolerate a bad person but not the one who fakes being a pure soul (putting a mask and roaming around, everyone praising him for his fakeness) people like virat give only shit to their life partner🤢😡🤬

Totally agree!!!

I was shocked when Virat did not not acknowledge that he has hurt him mom even when Sai brought up the topic... He just said that Ashwani supports Sai even when she is wrong... From the previous episodes it seems that insults on Ashwani are not unknown to Virat..If Devi Tai knows, how come Virat does not...If he is ignorant...its even worse... And then he insults her in front of the Kaku gang just a few minutes after Ashwani proudly said that her son will support her.... I thought he will regret this...But from yesterday's episode he did not even think he has done anything wrong even when Sai pointed this out.... If you cannot be your mother's son/daughter on something that is as simple as her self respect...what sort of a character is this???

in addition .. there are so many incidents that show that he is not trustworthy at all:

I am totally not a beleiver of "love at first sight".. but may be it exists... still chalo Virat and Pakhi ko janm janm wala pyar ho gaya...then?? ya to he should do all he can to marry her even after knowing ki uski shaadi uske bhai se ho rahi hai...isme to aur bhi zaroori hai...how to live in such a scenario.... ya he should have dismissd his feeling totally and said to Pakhi...oh woh to bas aise hi mazak tha...if he really wanted her to live happily with his brother...yeh kaun sa illogical raasta chuna uske...kaha bhai se shaadi kar lo and Mein tumhari yaad mein kisi se pyaar hi nahi karunga?? How to pyar nahi karnunga?? Shaadi na karna is still possible... I mean aise insaan ko kaise trust karo???

Then again...khud kahta hai ki family hi sab kuch hai...and shaadi ke waqt he did not call any family member..just friends (Sunny and Pakhi)??? I mean itna bada faisla...and family ko bataya hi nahi.... upar se asked Sunny to bring Pakhi along...Put Sunny in a difficult situation??? What's this??

Sai se shaadi karne ke liya raazi ho gaya..without telling her about Pakhi, "traditional family" etc etc..Pakhi ke baare mein bhi Sai brought up the topic..tab he said ki mujhse umeed na rakhan.... Kisi 18 year ki smart intelligent nidar sacchi ladki ki puri zindagi dav per laga di... what sort of a person does this??

On the reception night, he was siding Sai all the while during the drama and then suddenly U turn and asked sai to handle it all alone????? This is whne Sai is in a totally alien place with tanon ki bauchar on her... I mean ho can he do that??? If he thought his Kaku is so important, he should have made the efforts...

He definitely knew how his family is..what the reaction will be... why did he put Sai in such a difficult situation by marrying her...that too when immedialtely after her Aaba's death...it is like throwing Sai to fend herself from all the vultures..

He may be a very efficient IPS officer saving Sai from forced marriage..identifying the sharp shooter etc..he may be the Mills&Boon TDHR... but trusting Virat as a person does not seem to be easy...

in simple words,he is zero when it comes to personal life.

Sai from her end is correct. Yes she speaks bit too much but not always. She atleast know when yo stay quiet when to speak.

That day she was roaming in the hall ,then everyone taunted her, virat dint see this he just saw sai speaking not his family bashing.

Then yesterday she was quiet you started bashing and screaming on her again and again you brought her father. Its because of your mistake She is here not because she wanted to.

You should happily allow her to hostel not by making her understand to do household chores. She dint deserve this treatment.

Virat you are now not the man of dreams ,you are just a piece of waste.
