I am surprised at Shivani Bua. As someone else pointed out, why does she constantly need a man? Aftr 2 failed marriages u wld expect the woman to be hundred times more cautious & not easily trust any man. She is floored easily when he does nice things for her, without checking his background (not at all difficult in these days of social media & mobile phone cameras). It shows her as someone who cannot live w/o a man in her life & so vain that she falls easily for attention. Not consistent with her characterisation as an upright independent mature (oops) woman.

I wish they had shown that instead of Sarita exposing him, Shivani Bua had herself done some background checking & found that Amey was cheating her, and then taken Sai-Virat’s help to trap & expose Amey & punish him. That wld hv been progressive & in line with her character.

I completely agree. And not just Shivani, I really want bit of a (background) story for every character on the show. This is only help enrich the show. If always and only focused on the lead the tracks will start getting repeated very soon and show starts to get too predictable and bland. I dont know how ITV shows have still not learnt to utilise their side characters. Side characters should be more than just cheerleaders for the leads. This way even the leads will have more room to breathe. Have lighter/romantic scenes etc. Nowadays, all heroines do is save each character, one at a time. and the same track of misunderstand between the couple or the family, same leads being righteous, side charatcer having their "proud face " moment same villains being proven wrong but they still not learning anything from it. Or doing 180 and being cheerleaders of the leads......like I get gets bland after 2/3 times.

In Shivani's case in particular, beside her story for 3/4 days or scenes with Sai, it would be nice to see her interactions with Ashwini and maybe even Devi. For years they probably were silent supporters of one another. surely there is some affection and respect there and some bond and story that can be explored. Also, like few people brought up, Mohit. We could see his stories. How he deals with the restrictions at home, his equations with the family members, why nobody in the family even bothers about him, not even Virat, and how that affects him.....I am not saying ki koi psychologicla drama honi chahiye but these are such good chances for them to expolre different relationships

One of the major drawback with itv shows is that supporting characters dont have any depth or layer... Only very few shows managed to sketch supporting characters in a better way... Most of the shows all the tracks keeps revolving around the leads... Even here the shivani bua track will lead to sai getting more taunts and scolding for supporting shivani.

Maybe they are trying to show that despite the failed marriages she still craves for love and given that her own family wont provide it, she needs to seek it a boyfriend. But i feel like just coz Sai asked bua if the guy is "serious" about his feelings for her and suggested that she should still be willing to take a leap of faith with marriage, Shivani changed her iwn stance in like a minute! And it seems like Sai's intention of asking Shivani to bring up marriage was to reassure herself that this guy was not playing around and maybe she thought he would panic at the mention of shaadi....but bua ko suddenly i think suddenly phirse ummeed jagi that maybe she can still get not just love but also the soceital stamp of validation for that love - marriage! It would have been nice to see her try to invest herself in something more like a career in addition to still being hopeful for finding true love.

Maybe kaku got her married off two male versions of stone lekha and then couldn’t work out so she is still seeking love .. at this point I think a person seeking love will believe people bc they want the relationship to be formed on the basis of trust .. so she trusted Amey .. maybe she was always sheltered and never went out .. which is why Virat thinks sai is a bacchi bc in his home everyone is sheltered and needs to be taken care of and he doesn’t realize sai is different ..
