You know the behavioural patterns in these illogical sequences imitates real life patterns, so we do not have to dig much deeper to see them. It might be portrayed in an ott fashion in the show, but we are surrounded by such type of people.

There are so many power mongers around us, there are too many Ashwinis, to many Omis.

You know, I don't like Chomsky either 😆 Some of his ideas are beyond appalling and he tries to be "popular" but I always give credit where it is due. Manufacturing consent is one brilliant analysis of how opinions are shaped. While it is about the "political powers", it applies at all levels of life. I read that book at least 16 years ago and don't even remember a lot of it but the "agenda setting" and "gatekeeping" concepts are so applicable to every power struggle. From the kitchen to the nations.

You are right, the fiction is only an actual imitation of real patterns and what we find OTT at times because we have not had the misfortune of witnessing or experiencing something like that around us, there are stranger and more immoral people around in the societies and homes, who actually do behave like this.
