TMK, Ashwini, and Virat

I am annoyed with the fact that TMK openly humiliates Ashwini in front of the family. I don't expect others to speak up for her, but Can Virat not utter something in her mother's defense? He doesn't have to be rude or start an argument, but at least say something to defend your mom, show some support for her. Why does he silently listen all the time? Does keeping the family in harmony means allowing TMK's behavior to continue? Since episode 1, he has been silent about everything. He doesn't have to necessarily get in between women's quarrel, but she is YOUR MOTHER FOR GOD'S SAKE.

This is one huge character difference between Sai and Virat. Sai on one hand CAN NOT TOLERATE one bad thing said about her father, Virat, on the other hand, doesn't bother to support his mom. Virat and Ashwini's bond is so fragile compared to Sai's and Ashwini's. It didn't take her one second to speak out to TMK when she was insulted Ashwini during the reception. Part of me thinks Virat got married to Sai to tame TMK, and make her the voice he wishes to be, but can not in order to keep the family happy.

Seriously, virat is good at his job as a police officer... he's doing a pretty good job siding with sai in front of the family.... but in matters of relationships he is overall pretty poor. He neither stands up for his mother. He does not set limits and boundaries with his ex who is now married to his brother.

i think he is defending sai bcoz he is the one who forced this marriage(partialy due to sais foolish suicide attempt).so he feels responsible

on the other hand with ashwani he is seeing this behaviour since childhood and is used to it and i dont think he give it much thought how badly his own mom is being treated.

bcoz in virats mind its parents responsibilty to protect children not viceversa. But he sees sai as a bachhi(though that aspect is fast changing❤️) hence protecting her from tmk
