And why are you diverting to another tangent? We are talking about pain and suffering. Whatever Viraat chose that day is his choice but what has it got to do with his depth of heartbreak or love for Pakhi?? Nothing. So why does it matter ??

Also , how is it relevant to Sai's demeanor and our expectations from her ? Again nothing. So no point deflecting.

Since Sai doesn't care about Viraat's pain , I'd advise Viraat not to give a damn about her pain either. You reap as you sow.

Sai DOES care about Virat's pain. She's not affected by Virat and Pakhi's relationship but she keeps telling him to go and talk to Pakhi because she knows the pain Virat has caused both himself and Pakhi by marrying her.

Well said! He has to become a friend to her if not anything else since she needs a lot of emotional support to be able to get out of this dark time. Her Aaba was her entire world and it shattered so badly. Even before she could realize how to figure out her life again, she was married off. That is the least she deserves not just as a wife, but a human being.

Sai has an idea about Virat's pain and has been trying to find out too. Even in the safe house, she wanted to know what is bothering him but obviously they did not share any such equation that he would let her into that area or she would prod. In fact, today's scene of Grihpravesh and the drama by Kaku has already given Sai the real introduction to people's minds in the Chavan mansion and perhaps also a reminder to Virat if he may not have known (although, it appears that he does know what his mother has been going through from the initial scenes).

Apart from being angry about her situation and insecure about what the future holds, Sai will slowly and unknowingly become the strength that Virat will need by just being herself.

Also agree with your original point, that she needs the shoulder to cry and he has to be that. Like she mentioned even during her vidaai, 'how do I even cry'. Virat will have to be there to ensure that she grieves in order to move on and gather herself. And he seems to be aware about her mental state as well.

Virat's infatuation or love with Pakhi is very new and very raw. It can take months and years for one to heal from a heartbreak or even puppy love. In this case, I believe it's barely been a month. To top it, he thinks samrat is missing possibly because he's learnt about the relationship Virat was dreaming about with Pakhi.

His was a quick posting to Gadchiroli and sudden transfer out (ignoring all the bloopers related to IPS postings and insignia on his uniform) only because the script demanded his entry into Sai's life. 😃
