Yuvraj faces the wrath of a fan!
Romit Raj plays a negative character Yuvraj in Zee TV's prime time show Betiyaan. His character is portrayed as a son who marries a prostitute against the family's wishes. As the truth about his wife is unveiled the entire family has now turned against him. But it's not just his on-screen family that has turned against Romit, even his viewers are not happy with him. And Romit got a taste of their displeasure recently when the actor was shopping at Inifniti Mall in suburban Mumbai. An aged lady came forward and scolded him very badly in front of everyone.
"It was two days back when I was shopping at the mall, a lady came and told me off in Hindi. She said 'why are you so bad, you have ditched your family who used to love you so much and why have you married a prostitute?' If the same mistake was committed by my own son I would have killed him or I would have given him to police'," says Romit.

The actor was shocked but at the same time he says he is also quite pleased to see the reaction that his character is receiving. "I was stunned to hear how can one do this but as an actor I am happy as it means my role is being appreciated. Earlier I was not comfortable but my creative director told me that your character will be liked by the viewers."
The actor adds that even his mother doesn't appreciate the character of Yuvraj as he receives a thrashing from his on-screen father. "But I always tell to my mom that I'm playing good boy in Maayka so I guess it's ok if I play a bad character in Betiyaan."
Currently Romit's on screen character has slashed his wrist to show his defiance and all the viewers are now waiting to see whether Yuvraj will die or end up creating more trouble in the future for his family.
