I think Gauri should show Akash that she should not be treated as such and demand more respect, but please...Gauri is beautiful, she does not need need a makeover!!! Contacts or a pair of more fashionable glasses would be nice to complete her transformation into a married woman other than wearing a sari, but she does not need a full makeover (imo).

Gauri should have never married him in the first place. After Akash told her the truth on their wedding night, why does she think that Akash would magically start being nice to her. I hope she has a breaking point soon and tells Akash off. I hate these crying heroines.

The really sad thing is that she doesn't rebuke when Akash says something degrading to her. Normal people say something, but Gauri only listens.

This *is* who she really is though. She has been brought up to believe that marriage is the key to a woman's happiness and that she must constantly work to have a happy marriage. If her husband is dissatisfied with her, then it must be that she has done something wrong. She must do everything she can to win his approval. Divorce is absolutely out of the question. The women in this show are only strong from the perspective of chauvinistic scumbags, but in reality they are very weak.

You are absolutely right! For this reason, Gauri will not stand up for herself & instead will try win Akash over with loyalty, good food, obedient wife type of behaviour...sad but true...
