March 24^th '09 Written Update

Jhanvi and Nikhil are upset to be spending the night together, and when Jhanvi hears him cursing the rain she reminds him that rain is a form of nature which is something beyond his control. Irritated by her constant lectures he goes to sit and wait for the rain to stop and ignores her, while she goes out and dances in the rain (to the song boondon se baatein from the movie 'Thakshak). Nikhil comes out and watches her dance with a look of admiration and awe in his eyes. She almost falls while dancing, but he holds her just on time and they have an eye-lock moment. Later they feel awkward and he tells her that she will catch a cold and asks her to go inside. Inside, both are awkward towards each other, and seeing Jhanvi sneeze and shiver in cold, he offers her his jacket, which she refuses. But he leaves it there and sits afar watching her. Eventually she wears the jacket and he smiles seeing that. He then lights a fire and she takes some food out of her bag and offers it to him, which he refuses, but she leaves it beside him anyway. Later he eats it, and she smiles seeing that. He offers to drop her home once the rain stops. Next morning, they arrive together in the village in his car. All are stunned seeing Jhanvi w/ Nikhil and guessing that she spent the night w/him, they throw dirty accusations at her. Nikhil rebukes them for jumping to conclusions w/o knowing all the facts and tells them everything that happened. He assures them that Jhanvi is as pure as a mandir. Jhanvi is touched by that. But when she expresses her gratitude to him, she is left speechless when, in reply, he reminds her that their challenge is still on and she has only 15 days left to win.

Back in the Garodia house, at the breakfast table, Rasili and Kajri pass snide remarks at each other. When Rasili orders for samosas and kachoris instead of omlette for breakfast, Kajri doesn't let her have her way and Rasili leaves upset and angry. Saras and Menka are happy seeing this, and the others are enjoying this too. Rasili is in the hallway, when she gets a call from some 'driver'. She tells herself that this is the driver whom Kajri is paying to keep her raaz hidden and so she decides to ignore his call, so that he gets angry and retorts back at Kajri. Saras eavesdrops and wonders who this 'driver' is and what raaz he knows. She confides in Menka abt this, but Menka urges her to be patient and take advantage of the present situation b/w Ras-Kaj to get all the property back in their names. She tells Saras to manipulate Kaj into taking all the property from Yuvraj into her name and while she thinks she is signing all the property to herself, she will actually be signing away everything back to the Garodias. Saras agrees with Menka's plan and decides to get this done first and then probe into who this driver is and all the raaz he has hidden.

Precap: Yuvraj and Kajri are stunned when the 'driver' arrives at the Garodia door step. (Seeing who the driver is in the precap, i think (if i'm not mistaken) he is the driver who was driving Suryakant to work on the day he was murdered. So he would be the only one who knew that Yuvraj drove Suryakant somewhere that day)
