I have had enough of this. I really fail to comprehend what all of you see in Dave. He is a "one trick pony", he managed to portray his role in GES with sucess but that is about it.Who was he before this? What has he done in his other roles?Absolutely, NOTHING. It completely sickens me when people compare him to the likes of "SRK" or "Big B", like it or not, there will never be another SRK or another Big B, those two are simply irreplaceable. Dave is another thing. He comes of as arrogant to me. He wants everything handed to him on a golden platter. He genuinely beleives he is all "that".Well let me tell you something:You aren't all that. He thinks directors should just hand him major roles for big budget films. Sorry, it doesn't work that way. Nearly every single major star from Dalip Kumar to Big B to SRK has had to work his way up the corporate "ladder". They didn't just become major superstars over night. Big B's first "picture" was a low budget film, with a low paycheck, and he had to play multiple roles. He slowly worked his way, accepting whatever work he could get, and he played it with his heart and soul, that is how he came to become arguably the most prominent star of Bollywood. Shah Rukh Khan, had to work for quite some time in some serial(s), name "Soldier", and he did so with all his effort, and directors recognized his talent and he went on from there to become "King Khan". Dilip Kumar had to change his name to mask his religon and work his way from the bottom to get to the top. What has Dave done?He thinks he is too good for roles, and refuses to work.He just wants it instantly. Otherwise, he wouldn't be upset with GES, it is arguably his best role, in an innovative serial, where he is getting just as much attention as the lead stars despite being a supporting cast. Yet, he still isn't happy. I will break it to you simply in my modest opinion he is NOT cut out to be a "Hero" in today's Bollywood. He is too short, he doesn't have the "right face", simply put he doesn't have the "looks". And his acting skills have still yet to be proved. Regardless of what you GES fans think, he doesn't fit the mould of the "hero" that has been used since the dawn of Bollywood. He should be grateful that despite being a supporting character on GES, he is getting the attention he is, instead he wants more. It is on the back of the ingenious character of "Sujeet" he got to where he is, and he wants to cast it aside? What has he accomplished with his other roles such as the one mentioned earlier in this thread?A few weeks/months ago during the Sujeet-Trisha "pregnancy complication" plot, when he was doing that dance with Trisha, he looked awkward, he didn't look like a Hero to me. How is he going to do all the dancing that comes with Bollywood movies?I realize Trisha is not a beauty queen herself, but still doesn't excuse sujeet. Guys like SRK, Big B look just as gorgeous even when they are with the less attractive actresses. Speaking of actresses, who are they going to pair him with in Bollywood Movies? Rani?Ash?Priyanka?Kareena?, he doesn't suit any of them. He would look out of place with any of the top actresses in Bollywood today. That is why he should shut his mouth, and put some effort into GES, because the "small" screen is where he belongs, he is a TV actor at best. To some extent our industry is to blame for that. I being desi, was talking to a "white" professeur of mine, and he noted how Bollywood is the land of gorgeous and romance. That is to say, if you aren't attractive the general public will never accept you. What message does that send out? That normal people like you and me can't fall in love?Seriously, when was the last time you saw a "normal" looking person in a sucessful film in a major role?Never. Take a look at hollywood, while they do have beautiful stars too, the general public appreciates acting unlike Bollywood fans who don't see anything except Romance and beautiful people. The hollywood fans are open minded and have a critical mind when it comes to movies. Our Bollywood fans are close minded, refuse to see anything except SRK and others alike. That is why you will find actors and actresses on the small screen that are just as talented as SRK or other actors but they will never make it to big screen because they aren't attractive but this has been going around since the start of Bollywood, and if hundreds of superstars have made it "big time", then Dave should be no exception to this rule. If he wants to make it Big time he is going to have to fit that mould, and unfortunately he doesn't fit it. As flawed as this mould may be, it is all we have. If Dave fit that mould, make no mistake about it, he would be staring in major roles, because our directors know money when they see it The fact of the matter is he doesn't. He is not the complete package, that is why at best he is a TV actor or rather supporting cast. I can't even see Dave as a lead role for a TV serial let alone a a lead role for a major film. If he doesn't wisen up, he won't have his career in the small screen either. There is an old saying that is so common in these serials whenever the main characters lose their wealth, "No work is too small", Dave needs to embrace that.I know that this will no doubt make a lot of you upset, and that is certainly not my intention. This is just my modest opinion. I could go on and on but I think this is enough.

Dear member, your post is being edited because despite of the attempt you made you did not succeed to be modest and polite in criticizing the actor. Using rude statements like telling the actor to shut up or giving him the stigmata of a arrogant and small screen fitted actor will not be tolerated.
The parts which are rude are edited out from your story. Please keep in mind for next time.
Thanks for your understanding
