Shayantani Ghosh who played Kakul till now has opted out of the show, thus forcing the channel and production house to look for an urgent replacement.

Says Ajay Sinha, Producer, Ananda Films "We had to go for a replacement as Shayantani did not want to continue, and the reasons are best known to her. She said she was tired of playing the role, and wanted something better".

"Aneesha will be essaying the role of Kakul from now on. We have brought about few changes in story telling too. We were forced to change the script four months back, which did not appeal to the audience. Now we have been asked to get back to our original script, so things look better", adds Ajay Sinha.

We talked to Aneesha Kapoor, the new Kakul on her role. "I am thrilled to get this show. I was actually looking for a new show, but when I got this role I decided to take it up as this is a challenge for me. My first scene was at the hospital where Kakul is shown to be violent, getting anger pangs".

Our source gives us more info on the future track, "The reason behind Kakul's strange behavior and sudden illness will slowly come to light. Also, there is a big twist coming with the sudden death of Mrithika in an accident. There will be bigger complications erupting as a result of this".

We tried calling Shayantani for her take on moving out of Ghar Ek Sapna, but the actress was unavailable for comments..

After watching todays episode I think and I am sure new Kakul is way better than the old one. A very good choice and I hope the story will take a new and smooth turn with a light comedy and suspence of course is a must.

i was watching this show from day one started, but after seeing new "Kakul" very much disappointed, she is not good choice for this role.
very soon show is going to flap.
