geet not ready to understand what maan trying say for her well being

but when her mother slap n said what is happening with her as she reject maan she realised her foolishness n decide to call maan

hope she able to contact maan soon before he leaves

Part 8

Geet is skeptical of maan’s intentions b/c all the men in her life are not exactly trustworthy & they do not respect women.

Maan’s proposed plan is the perfect escape plan to avoid marrying Daman & to complete her studies

Glad that geet finally realizes this before it is too late

But I have a funny feeling that geet’s family will not let her off the hook so easy if she does not marry maan after her studies . 🤔

Part – 9

Maan didn’t feel like leaving at once ..

Dadi called and asked him what happened….

Maan didn’t say anything about Geet, he just said that he needs some time… .

Dadi strictly tells him that he can take one or two days more to think but he shouldn’t return without accepting the proposal, she said that Darji is really upset for his leaving without saying anything…

Maan told her that he can’t take this huge decision in a hurry and he is staying at Hoshiarpur only…

Maan took a tour of the nearby forest and returns to the farmhouse in the evening…

Geet thinks all day and tells Ranno about Maan asking her to call him if she changed her mind, Geet doesn’t say the full truth to her…

Ranno asks her to call Maan immediately as he is her only hope…

Geet calls Maan the number on the card…

It’s KC’s number and no one answers as it’s not office hours … it’s way past 6’o clock…

Geet is frustrated… has he given a fake ID card?

Then she realizes that it’s a landline number… Maan should have given his personal no. na? But it’s a business card…

Geet then thinks about what to do next… so he should have left….

Maybe she can call in the morning…. .but then he would be in Delhi and it would be too late…

Geet thinks, what if he is in the farmhouse? Itne raat ko wapas kaise jayega?

Geet usse farmhouse jaake mil sakti…..

Geet then tells Ranno and goes out of the house with her help…. .

She goes and finds his jeep there .. she is happy that he stayed back… .

She goes and knocks the door…

Maan is still awake thinking about what this girl will do, will she ever call him?…

Maan hears the knock and wonders who it could be at this time…

Maan comes and opens the door and is happy to see the same pair of eyes looking for him anxiously this time… Geet has covered her face like before….

Maan: tum? Iss waqt?

Geet: kyun? Mein nahi aasakthi kya? Ye sirf aaj ke liye aap ki farmhouse hogi, par bachpan se mein yahan kheli hoon, aap toh guest hai

Maan smiles… : toh bahar kyun kadi ho?

Geet enters almost pushing him to make way…

Maan is only happy to welcome her….

Maan: toh tum mere liye kya layi ho?

Geet: kya?

Maan: mein tummara guest hoona? Mujhe bahut zor se bhook lagi hai aur tummare ghar ka aloo paratha bahut achchi hai

Actually Ranno has sent him dinner…

Geet wonders how he found that out… she is carrying the parcel in her hand know…

Geet: aap ko bas apni chinta hai?

Maan: ab tum yahan tak aayi ho toh mein samajh gaya ki tumme ab mujh par vishwas ho gaya, ab tummari pareshaani meri hai, par pehle thoda khaaloon?

Maan takes her to the dinning table…

Geet takes out the parcel and gives it to him…

Maan is about to open it…

Geet: aaj aloo paratha nahi bani

Geet tells him so that he won’t be disappointed seeing the roti with baigan ka bartha… .

Maan: kuch bhi chalega, tummare wajhe se mein subhe se bukha hoon

Geet: kyun?

Subhe ka nastha toh Handas ke ghar mein hi kiya hai, aur abhi dinner ka waqt bhi ho gaya.. it’s almost 8…

Maan doesn’t know why did he skip lunch…

Maan starts eating at once, he can’t wait anymore… he is happy for the food sent with so much love from Ranno, today it tastes even more yummy… like Ranno has cast some magical spell in her food that Maan is not able to leave Hoshiarpur… it’s the second dose and so Maan is staying back for another day….

Why not? Maan ka mood aaj kuch zyada hi kush hai…

He doesn’t realize that the magic is not in the food but in the person who brought the food…

Geet waits for Maan to finish his food…. She is thinking about how to ask his help now after reacting like that in the morning…

But Maan already knows why she is here, but his guess is that, Geet has not come on her own but she has been compelled by her mother to go and set things right before it’s to late and Maan decides to reject her openly…

Ranno is so confident about Maan’s character that she let her daughter to go meet him alone at this hour… yes, she has full belief in her daughter that she is capable of taking care of herself, but still sending Geet like this may send the wrong signals, even though Maan is the chosen damad….

If it were anyone else, they might completely cook a different story out of it and can even take advantage of their desperation, but it’s Maan Singh Khurana, from the Khurana khandan…. Khurana’s respect everone alike and are always there to help… haina?

That’s why Ranno wants Geet to enter only the Khurana family, in any other place, Geet will be ridiculed and unnecessarily framed as a wrong doer for the incidents that happened earlier…

They may not bother much now, but one day or the other, when things change, and if there is a fight among the couple, which is unavoidable, then everyone would start mud slinging… and they would readily have a hundred doubts on Geet’s character immediately…

Geet is too naïve to understand all this, Ranno has all the experience to see the consequences of that black mark in Geet’s life in the long run…

Maan too knows that Geet is too good with a pure heart, which gives her all the self esteem and a little over confidence, that she thinks that the world is against her and wants to fight everyone that comes in her way, irrespective of their care and concern, she sees her mother too like an obstacle… then Maan is right now the Raavan…

Maan has misjudged our Geet Handa, she is her own master, and she will never listen to anyone, he should have known that from the morning episode itself….

Geet may take some time to understand the ways of life, but she won’t do anything if she is not fully convinced that it’s the right thing for her…

Geet wonders how he is relishing that baigan bartha like some rare delicacy, for she is bored eating it every alternate day…

But for Maan it sure is a rare delicacy, though there is Nakul and other cooks at KM, it’s only when Annie is home that Maan gets to eat something made specially for him with much love, and he has always missed the “maa ke haath ka khana” ever since Dadi fell ill…

So, Maan, who loves his continental food also misses the simple authentic “ghar ka khana” equally…

Only someone who has lost his mother at the growing stages would understand the value of a mother’s love and care for they know what they are missing, people who are fortunate enough take it for granted most of the times ..

Part 9 - My takeaways -

Great update!

So Maan eats the food that Geet brought along!

Of course, Maan felt that it was Rano's tactic to send Geet to the farmhouse!

But in reality, it was Geet who felt it was right to go and convinced her mother!

Maan and Geet, if ever this alliance would work out as Rano and Dadimaa wanted, will have to go through a lot of ups and downs!

What story doesn't have turmoil and hope, both equally existent?

Great way to develop the story!
