"I know you weren't expecting me here but I was really waiting for you Maan." Maan again looked at her, he felt an unknown happiness inside him when Geet said that but at the same time he was confused about his uncertain feelings, though his lips automatically curved in a slight smile. Geet turned at him when Maan composed himself and wondered why was he happy hearing that..!

"You must be wondering why am I still here right?" Maan looked at her to get the answer. "Actually I couldn't be like you Maan who just left his family for someone who doesn't exists in his life."

"What do you mean Geet?" He asked getting enraged.

"Yes..! You heard right.. Family priority comes first for you always, right? Then suddenly where did this thought was gone?" Maan couldn't make eye contact with her as he knew he was unjustified with his family, Geet saw the guilt in his eyes. "I'm not here for you." She lied but she wanted him to show difference between right and wrong. "I'm here because of your family. After you left, I decided to leave this house but my concern for your family stopped me - this family is like my own family, I am attached with them since childhood. They never compared me and Annu.. Then how could I suddenly leave them when I knew they need me on that time..!" She said while tears formed in her eyes. "Maan, you don't like me, I know. But can you tell me what was your family's fault in between? Didn't you think once about dadi, how would she feel, how would she live without her Maan..? Didn't you think about Gayatri ma, papa.. About Dev and Prateek.. You don't even know from which situation they gone through..!" She held his arms asking, "Maan didn't you think once about them? Didn't you think to visit them in these years? Okay.. Not visit, but you didn't talk with them properly. I know you were avoiding me and believe me.. If you won't talk with me, I won't get hurt. But you just broke all their heart for me." She almost shouted at him which Maan don't like. After all, how could he.. He is THE MAAN SINGH KHURANA.

Maan jerked her hand off and held her arms tightly in rage, "You have no right to talk like this with me. Who are you..? What's your place in my life..? Nothing.. So, don't you dare to talk with me in such way..! You're nothing for me and this lecture.. You're giving me.. Don't forget FOR YOU, I left my family, if you wouldn't come into my life then I would have with them all these years. So, don't you dare to judge me. Got it..?!" Saying this he pushed her slightly. Though his every word pierced in her heart badly but she need to be strong - she wanted to cry on the thought that he blamed her for everything but she couldn't able to cry. Maan turned to leave, his movement made Geet back from her trance and she stopped him again, "Maan wait..!"

Geet walked to him and made him turn at her asking, "What do you think of yourself..? You are Maan Singh Khurana, that you can do anything or everything? No Mr Khurana. You think, I am the reason for your separation from your family right..?! Fine then.. From onwards, I won't take any responsibilities. This is your family, this is your responsibility to look after them. I took every responsibility in these years which you had to take but now when you returned.. I'm not going to look after anything. According to you, I'm the reason then fine.. I will not interfere in your life." Saying this she turned around to hide her emotions from him.

"Maan, two years back, you took a decision about our life but this time I'm taking a decision." She said taking a deep breath. "Maan, I will keep quiet until Annu's wedding get over, after that I'll inform your family about our marriage truth and then if you want we'll file for our mutual divorce." She said as tears rolled out from her eyes but she quickly wiped them and turned at him saying, "Your family has many expectation from us and now I can't lie to them anymore. This time as you came, we will end this matter, I can bear anything but can't bear false accusations, it hurts more." Saying this Geet left from there but Maan kept looking at her stunned until she disappeared from his view. He was the one who wanted to end this relation but this time when Geet wanted to end this, he wasn't happy at all. Geet's tearful eyes made him furious.. Making him furious on himself for crossing his limits - for accusing her. Maan rubbed his nape in frustration as he was hell confused about his such feelings.

Geet was crying sitting near the pool side, thinking about her own words, Maan's words, she knew she was harsh with him but at the same time she knew, she can't force herself on him. Thinking about her behavior, Geet cried.

"When you know, hurting him will be hurt you more, then why did you do that Geet?" Dev said.

She once looked at him and again hide her face in her palm crying. "Geet, I understand it isn't easy for you, you can't keep yourself away from him then why did you say all that to bhai?" Dev asked taking sit beside her.

"What else I would do Dev..? He.. He accused me..!" She sobbed pointing at herself. "Am.. Am I the reason..? Was I force him to marry me..? When.. When dadi went to my house with this marriage alliance, I thought.. Maan.. Maan loves me as I do.. If I had any clue about his feelings then I wouldn't accept this. I never wanted him to go away from his family.. But see..! Today he's accusing me. How could he say that..? How could he think that..?" She cried while placing her head on Dev's shoulder.

"Ssshh.. Calm down." He caressed her hair to pacify her. "Look at me." He made her look at him. "Don't blame yourself. We know, how much you have done for this family in his absence. So, don't blame yourself. Let him speak nonsense..!! You know , what you are..!"

Wiping her own tears she continued, "You know Dev.. After you made me understand, I couldn't leave you all.. I was living with a hope that one day he'll realize the importance of this marriage and will return. Even I changed myself, just for him but he just didn't bother about anything. But today I realized, you can't make anyone fall in love with you by changing yourself. Your changing personality can't help you to grow feelings for that person. Maan has no feelings for me. I used to be his friend but after that marriage incident, I even lost that place from his life."

"Bhai has some feelings for you but for his egoistic nature, he will not accept it until he won't get a shock from you. You know, we men are like this. Till you're in his life, he will take you taken for granted but when he see you going away from him, he'll realise his feelings for you." Dev said and tried to convince Geet to change her decision.

"Dev, for me.. Love is, where you accept your partner with all her good and bad quality. I accepted him with his good and bad things but he couldn't. And so, I don't want to force myself on him. If he ever realize that he loves me or he has any feelings then he will stop me going away from him."

She said thoughtful as she has doubt that ever he would understand his feelings or not..!

"You know Geet, believe me very soon that idiot will realize your importance." Dev said giving a side hug to her, cheering her up. Geet smiled reciprocating the hug wiping her tears.

"Wow.. Smells so delicious." Param (Maan's uncle) commented while taking sit at the dining table.

"Each dishes are Maan's favorite and specially made by my bahu.." Gayatri said excited while looking at Geet who just gave her a smile. "See.. Even Maan arrived..!" Gayatri said, looking at her son who came there and stood beside Geet when suddenly Maan's arm touched with Geet's, she turned back and they had a small eye lock, though Geet was the first one who moved her eyes from him.

"Have a seat." Gayatri said and was going to pulled the chair for him which Maan didn't like.

"It's okay mom.. I can do that." He stopped her saying.

"Why..?! You returned after two years, let us pamper you until you are here." Gayatri said as her eyes gets moist, seeing his mother's tearful eyes, Maan remembered Geet's words that how much they missed him all these years.

"Maan.. Will you return back again..?!" Dadi asked which broke his chain of thoughts.

"Yes.. Yes dadi." He replied with hesitation.

"What is this Maan..! No.. No.. This time you won't be returning back. Arey..! Your wife, your family are here, then why will you stay away from us..?!" Dadi asked.

"Dadi, you know about my works." Maan tried to explain but dadi didn't listen to him and said, "Chup kar khoteya.. Don't teach me how to work.. I had seen your dadaji working, even your father worked, Were they away from their family for work..?! No.. Right..! I won't listen to you anymore Maan. You wrap up your everything there. How long Geet puttar will stay away from you..?!" As dadi talked about Geet, Maan just looked up at her who was standing there with no emotion, as if she doesn't bother about his existence.

"Maan.. Are you listening me..?" Dadi asked again.

"Yes.. Yes dadi." He replied while scratching his forehead. "I'll try." He said in very low tone when Geet looked at him mazed.

"By the way Maan, you didn't say how's the food." Gayatri asked.

"Yeah.. It's quiet good. I must say, your stupid chefs learn some good cooking." Maan gave compliments while chewing his food.

"Oh God.. Maan.. This dishes are made by Geet." As Gayatri spill the beans, the food almost came out from his mouth, he controlled himself while coughing.

"Have some water bhai." Dev passed him the glass.

Wiping mouth with the tissue, Maan looked at Geet mouthing, "You..?!" He then turned at Gayatri saying, "But Geet.."

"She didn't know how to cook right..?!" Dev complete the sentence which Maan wanted to say, he looked at Dev confused.

"Puttar.. You had always a complaint that she can't cook like you right..? And that's why.. During this two years, she learnt to cook.. To give you a surprise." Dadi cleared Maan's confusion who just staring at Geet and noticing the changes in her. Feeling Maan's gaze on her, she excused herself from there.

After changing into his night dress, Maan walked out from the washroom when he saw Geet walked in with the water jug in her hand, seeing Maan present, she stopped at her position for a moment and looked at him when he turned away and placed the wet towel on the sofa, giving a sigh, she walked up to the bed and placed the jug on the side table. Meanwhile, Maan went to the bed side and watched Geet who was busy in her work.

Maan saw her taking a pillow and a blanket from the cupboard and she was going to step out from the room when he called her, "Geet wait..!"

Hearing his voice, her heart started beating so fast but she didn't turn back at him. But Maan went to her and asked, "Where are you going?"

Composing herself, she looked up at him, "To.. To another room."

"Why..?" He asked all of sudden when Geet looked at him bewildered, though for a moment, she felt happy with the thought that he might be wanting her to stay back. "I.. I mean.. If you go out, and anyone saw you."

Getting this reply, she got hurt. "Don't worry Maan.. No one will get to know about this. And if anyone see me, then i'll manage, will give them excuse." She said looking down and proceed ahead to pull the door but she heard him saying again, "The food was good."

"Anything else..?" She questioned not looking at him while Maan stood there silent. "Go and sleep, you must be tired." Saying this, Geet walked out from the room while Maan didn't like that.. He wanted to know more about her but she wasn't talking with him properly. But in next moment, he Shrugged away the thought saying, "How could you even expect her to be nice with you. After whatever you had done with her, she was staying in your house, was looking after your family, wasn't that enough..!!" Ruffling his own hair, he went to sleep. Meanwhile, Geet went to the guest room without anyone's knowledge and cried remembering about Maan's behavior and drifted into sleep after being tired.
