PART 10:

Aap Geet ko Maan ke saath bhejne wale hain?? Shaadi ko abhi saath mahine baaki hai ... Rano was shocked even to ask her husband who was busy looking at the records. She stood infront of him demanding an answer. How could he take such a decision when he knows that the village in which they live and the society doesn't accept it. Mohinder knew his wife's dilemma he sighed ... Putting his spectacles on the table he rose his head and gazed at his wife ... Giving her a smile he stood up ... aapko nahi lagta ab humse jyaada Geet par Maan ka haq hai?? I agree they aren't married yet but they are engaged ... and I am not wrong in feeling that Maan will not let me down ... aap beqaar hi fikar kar rahi hai

She had her own justifications ... for once she could go against every rule of the society but not her heart ... the heart which was telling her not to let go ... not to let her daughter go, the only person she could talk to was her husband.

No ... my heart says something wrong's definitely gonna happen ... I can feel it ... Aap samajhte kyun nahi?? I am scared ... Scared that Geet would drift away from us ... And this fear is not silly .. trust me when my instinct tells me something it doesn't go wrong

Aapko pata hai Geet ne kya kaha jab maine poocha Maan kaisa hai?? Rano's eyes locked into her husband's eyes with the way he was trying to explain ... This was something she didn't know ... this was something only a daughter and father shared. Deep down Rano always had an idea of the depths of the emotional bond the duo shared and loved it ... she never questioned her husband coz she respected him ... Respected for the way he loved his brother's child ... brother's crime.

Geet ne kaha Maan bilkul aapke jaise hain ... what more can I expect from Geet?? Agar aapko lagta hai kuch galat hoga toh Maan par yakeen kariye ... I know he wont let me down ... He wont let my daughter down ... He would remain her pride (Maan)

Nahi kabhi nahi hogi ... This is my promise ... Aapki tassali ke liye main Geet ke saath Madhu ko bhejonga ... She will stay with Geet, Rano nodded reluctantly ... her fear was not inane. She wished it doesn't turn out to be true.

Scared?? Geet lifted her head still struggling with her packing ... She nodded looking at her friend, she snorted her nose placing her tendrils behind the ears and then wiping her face.

I'll advice you better call your Maan and talk to him ... trust me you will feel better, She threw the phone over the bed giggling at the face which turned red ... Itni laal mat ho, talk to him ... Bechara ek taraf se hi baat karte karte thak jayega ... You need to show him that you like him too ... I had seen the longing in his eyes yesterday Geet and you silly girl you have no idea how much he was wanting space ... loneliness with you

If it is he could talk to me ... maine kab mana kiya?? Geet threw the pillow on Madhu now anger evident on her face. She wondered how come Madhu noticed it instead of her.

I could relate Maan's face with my boyfriend ... itna toh pata chal hi jaata hai ... I guess now you understood that you are supposed to learn his heart before he talks out ... that's what is relation is about, now Madhu threw the pillow back on Geet's face making her squeal.

Get out of my room right now ... She squint and then scowled ... Ok ok I get it ... I am leaving but talk to him that's the only advice I can give you right now ... Raising her hands up in defeat Madhu walked out seeing the fear set in Geet.

Standing by the balcony Geet held the phone in her hand ... It was just seven in the evening ... can she call him without fear?? How will he react?? Will he take her to be desperate?? Will he pick up at the first place?? What if he is still in the office and her call would disturb him??

Call kar ullu ... I bet he will take your call in the first ring ... Geet turned frowning and closing the door on Madhu's face, dismissing her rudely. Madhu giggled enjoying with her teasing.

She prayed to her kanhaji and putting her guts together she rang him up ... and like he was waiting for the call he picked it in one go.

Did I disturb you?? She held her breath biting her lower lip in anticipation ... Awaiting his response.

What if I call you and then ask you the same question?? Geet blushed looking down at her hand ... You got your answer?? Mere dil mein bhi wahi baat hai jo tum abhi mere sawal par soch rahi ho, she got embarrassed with his explanation. He was trying to tell that their feelings were mutual and if that wasn't enough he further asked ... By the way what is the answer??

Woh ... Woh ... I was thinking of you the whole day ... thinking if I could call you without hesitance ... tell you my heart

He smiled with the awkwardness that was slipping away from her finally ... after their last encounter and her assurance about the family deep down he got to know that she accepted him as much as he did.

You can call me anytime Geet ... All the time ... You don't need to wait to talk to someone who is all yours ... Oh my she clutched her duppatta falling for his words ... But then when he can get back to her with the same question she could do the same so it was her take back time.

Then why didn't you call me?? She spoke ever so naughty trying hard to remain as stern as she could. Feelings were mutual so she had to ask him out of curiosity

I was busy ... You know I have a welcome party here ... I was looking into preparations.

And the guest is?? She wondered who could it be

Pata chalega ... Special party for someone special ... Geet was completely clueless what he was talking about ... And then she understood that she was still lacking with apprehension. And why was he not telling whom was he going to welcome?? He would tell her if he will want to ... She didn't ask him.

Her thinking and pondering let a stretch of silence ... She was in a confusion that the welcome party might be for her ... or it might be for someone else ... But why would he do it for her?? It could be for someone else ... Didn't know why the thought pricked her thinking of someone else. He deals with people ... he has a business to handle ... probably someone who is related professionally to him. She was truly a ullu as she failed in realizing that a special person can only be her

It took him a while to get her back ... there was a reason for her call, she was not telling him ... Her voice is worrying him. He cant keep nagging her to know what's running in her mind. Something was definitely bothering her ... what was it?? But still he couldn't stop from asking the inevitable,

What's eating you??

And then he heard a sob from her side!!

PART 11:

Geet ... he called again to get her attention. She couldn't speak ... She had always known that she will have to leave her parents for her Sawariya but at such a point when she realized that it was more than hard that she ever thought, she didn't know whom to express her feelings to. And when he was asking for the reason of her pain she grasped that he isn't the person whom she should be telling her heart to coz he would be thinking of the same about her. He would feel helpless ... he cant do anything .. that's how the world is like ... Girl is supposed to stay with her parents only till she gets married. She didn't want to voice out how she feels and make him vulnerable.

When she heard him calling her name this time she came back to the normal world and sighed controlling herself ... its just a matter of week geet, you can't be sharing your love for your father to him ... remembering the last conversation when she spoke to Maan how much she adores her father she sensed he would go nostalgic about his life or he might go weak.

She fumbled with words trying to cover up ... but he wouldn't rest until he knows the reason of her outburst.

Will you give me some time?? I promise I will tell you ... Shaayad aapse milne ke baad ... she muttered not wanting to tell him the reason of her tension. She didn't want to worry him with her insecurities or hostility.

Ok ... But don't go upset ... will you assure me at least with that?? Though he was disappointed he didn't make it evident. Giving space would definitely let her open up to him ... That's what he had learnt from his friends who were in relationships. He didn't want to pester her when she wasn't ready to share her feelings.

Ya ... I am sorry Maan ... if not today then tomorrow ... pata nahi lekin aapse ek din jaroor bolongi ... he smiled with relief that she was taking steps like him to bind herself into this relation.

Kya kar rahi thi?? He tried to divert her mind ... that was the least he could do. She began to make patterns on the floor with her feet ... Packing ... meri train kal subah hai

Geet I don't want you travelling in a train ... I have booked flight tickets ... papaji told me that your friend is also coming with you ... check your mail .. you will find your tickets ... She didn't reply and it began to frustrate him ... what if she didn't like him booking the tickets? She can explain him if she isn't willing to travel the way he wants her to.

I would do anything to know what's running in your mind ... He said stating directly that her silence is killing him.

I was thinking I would reach you early in the flight, oh he couldn't stop falling for her. She was trying to show that she cared and she is as desperate as he is ... that was enough for him to take things patiently around her. She was making an effort just like him ... what if she takes time for the rest of things to pace up??

Its scheduled at 10 in the morning ... An hour's flight ... I cant wait to see you too Geet ... His voice reciprocated her tone. She inhaled sharply looking up at her kanhaji thanking him for making the conversation settling.

Toh?? She asked

Toh?? He frowned not understanding what she meant

Welcome party ... You still didn't tell me whom is it for ... she bit her lips suppressing her fear. She didn't know how she got the audacity to ask him when he didn't tell her but the question was bugging her ever since he told about it to her.

What will I get if I tell you whom the party is for?? Her brows furrowed trying to solve the riddle he asked. The question clearly indicated that the party was for her.

Ok mat batana ... she hung up wondering why he was making it more difficult for her. Maan laughed looking at his phone wanting to deal with her after she lands at his place.

Geet woh dekh someone holding your name ... I guess he is the driver we were told ... chal Madhu sauntered with the luggage waving at the person.

As the girls made way towards the car they saw almost the whole family of Maan except Maan waiting for them. Her eyes still searched for him didn't know why.

He was to come Geet but you know at the last moment he had to handle a meeting by himself so he couldn't ... Hope you don't mind ... Tara teased her like pouring water on her high hopes.

She didn't dare to look around after that, Geet and Madhu clambered inside. Dadima looked at her to be bahu lovingly and kissed her forehead ... Welcome beta, we were waiting for you since a long time and finally you are here.

Geet blushed .. lowered her lashes ... Tara and Dev seemed to be busy in talking while dadima was on a phone call. The distance to their mansion was not long just a drive of ten minutes, and as Geet stepped out she saw the whole mansion decorated as if the family were ready to welcome someone, make it special for someone and then she realized what Maan was telling her last night in the phone call.

Tara aapne Geet ke liye kamra khali karvaya na?? Dadima asked wanting to be doubly sure that Geet wouldn't feel uneasy. Tara nodded and then they led Geet and Madhu into the room ... on their way they saw few media people being stopped by few bodyguards. It was all a surprise for Geet ... She was trying to grasp the luxury of the family and also their wealth and fortune.

Madhu bte if you don't mind aap Tara ke room mein tayyar ho jayiye hum Geet ko tayyar karke aate hai ... Dadima told her politely taking Geet with her ... press conference shuru hone ka time ho gaya hai beta aap yeh ghagra jaldi pehen lijiye .. she said handing her a packet.

Dadima caressed her cheeks ... Ab aap hamari ghar ki beti hui na?? hum apni beti ke liye itna bhi nahi kar sakte??

Geet nodded and left to change ... She ogled at her image in the mirror looking at herself ... she was looking like a bride already. She came out blushing ... Dipping her head down feeling conscious, she didn't notice that there was a person or two more now watching her .. no ogling her like she did few minutes ago.

Dadima bas ghoonghat reh gayana ... iske sar par daalne ko?? Tara teased making Geet to raise her head ... main pehenadon?? She asked giggling at Geet.

Nai ... Ghoonghat toh Maan hi pehenayega ... woh bhi toh dekhe uski hone wali dulhan aise lag rahi hai, Tara pulled Geet's cheek setting pins into her hair ... we are leaving now you can deal with your Maan ... Tara whispered in Geet's ear and left!!!

PART 12:

She watched the serene sight of him and her together in the mirror as Maan put the ghungat on her head. His eyes admired her and she could feel it ... they never needed words to express their feelings ... She lowered her lashes feeling blood rushing to her cheeks.

He had to control his urge to hug her taking a long breath .. holding Geet by her arms turned her to face him ... You look beautiful ... She smiled nervously at him with his acclaim for the first time.

Geet I wanted to tell you something ... She sat on the couch beside him following him wondering why he appeared to be so lost and so serious all of a sudden. Off late the little interactions which Maan was putting with her seemed to make her feel a part of him ... it was as if his hesitance has disappeared somewhere ... every feeling of him seemed to take a transparent nature. She smiled assuring him to speak his heart. It was a marvel for him for her simple smile could give him so much warmth ... Benevolence ... he admired her to every level that was possible.

This party ... It's kind of awkward for you ... I get that but I wanted everything that's related to you to be special ... our engagement just happened in four walls ... no one knows who my fianc is ... and now when you would be entering into a world of mine I wanted you to know what you are getting yourself into Geet.

She stared at his face with innocent look like not getting what he is trying to tell her ... was it a warning?? Was it concern?? She couldn't weigh what overwhelmed him but the essence of his subject was pointing that he was fearing an affornt ... Today I am gonna introduce to someone, family friend Satya Aunty ... Dadima loves her like family and she is family ... I am sorry she wasn't a part of our engagement and I want her to look up to you ... With respect and love like she does to every member here ... promise me Geet that you will not take her words to heart if they are meant to hurt you ... I just need your assurance that you would listen to me ... you will not bother her if she doesn't like you

She looked at her fingers which were resting in her lap understanding what Maan just revealed to her ... happy that he could tell her his inner fallout ... She looked at him in awe ... his words churning her insides thinking why would anyone has a need to so mean ... It's all familial love that I need ... Somebody's humility will not affect me ... I promise I will not let you down ... But I wanted to ask you a question can I??

You know you can ... His sincere tone touched her soul ... Which actually decorated her claim on him ... like anyway he wouldn't let her down ... he wouldn't step down in giving anything that she would ask him for.

You hate her?? She asked anxiously

I donno Geet ... I just donno ... It's complicated ... I don't love her neither do I hate her ... she became a part of the family when I was in London ... I came back ... I saw her in my home like a family member ... she chose to start a life later getting married to a rich man ... she comes here occasionally .. that's all I know ... Now I want a life around a person who doesn't stink of money ... I just need love ... a love of a partner ...

And you wanted to marry me coz I hail from a middle class family?? You wanted a girl who would be wooed to money?? She spoke cutting him off but Maan didn't mind ... he was being honest with Geet ... this was something he could never tell anyone ... not to dadima ... Not to his brother of his bhabi Tara.

Perhaps ... But Geet when I came to see you it was just to see you ... I never thought I would agree for engagement ... I wasn't prepared for a relationship ... But after I knew you ... I've realized I was no ready for marriage ... I was ready for a relationship with you ... I wanted a life with you ... I wanted to marry you ... only you ... Basically I am an introvert ... It took my brother a long class to open up to you ... and when I did I recognized what was missing in me

She felt like hugging herself in glee ... She blushed yet again taking pride of being his choice. But before she could voice out her feelings they heard a knock ... Maan rose to his feet to open the door ... Kya baatein chal rahi hai?? Bahar sab hamare wait kar rahe hai ... let's get going warna Satya aunty will freak out ... Tara giggled calling out to both of them.

Maan walked away leaving Geet with Tara ... So did you two speak?? Tara gave an expectant look to Geet.

She nodded looking at the floor making patterns with her feet on the floor ... Blushing like a bride already.

You are To - be - Bride ok?? Not the Bride ... don't shy away like that ... now let's go ... you're gonna have a special call to the stage

By the time Geet came to the gathering Maan was already talking about his future ventures to the media and then all the people turned to look at her coz Maan was watching her intently stopping his talk in the middle.

She got nervous with the attention that she was receiving from the people, never in life she had stood among so much of crowd. Her legs began to shiver not wanting to move forward when she held Maan's hand ... he wrapped his hand around her arm leading way towards the stage ... Maine toh kabhi suna nahi ki Shehzaadi darti hai?? He smiled at her as they comfortably shifted to the dais. She blushed on his comment, the same word her papaji uses for her ... for a moment Geet forgot to blink her eyes with the way he was making her feel so special.

In no time they were back Maan announced the world his woman ... standing beside him ... her grip tightened around his hand ... But everyone were truly impressed by Geet ... So was Satya ... She didn't understand why even after learning Geet's background she couldn't hate her ... She sat until Maan finished his talk ... I would want you all to join the welcome party to the To-Be-Bride of mine ... Thank you for coming.

As Maaneet were about to leave they saw three people in the crowd ... Her eyes looked at them unbelievingly ... those tears spilled and she turned to look at Maan ... toh aapko pata tha uss din main iss liye ro rahi thi kyunki mujhe papaji ke bina rehna tha ... For a week and now you got them here?? He nodded placing his hands in pockets feeling happy that he could make Geet smile.

She ran down to hug her papaji while her mother and sister admired the duo ... in all this they failed to look at the woman who was yet to be known even after knowing her ... Satyabhama.

Precap: Maan no please ... his hand stilled in the mid - air, frustrated he ran his hand through his hair ... Bhabhi I don't want this girl anywhere here ... he roared. Geet felt so terrible with the turn of events. Naintara mouthed a sorry as Maan held Geet's wrist taking her out of his room.
