Searching for maaneet story. Read long back.
The story starts from guest arrived at geet's house. They had come to see geet's cousin. Awed at the little girl they admire her. and notice that she is wearing mangasutra and adorned with sindoor.
Guest starts asking question and her chachi or badi maa gives excuse. But the thing is maan and geet got married thinking it is a play in a temple. People in the temple believes them married except his mother and her father.
Maan's mom takes him away the same night. Geet's aunt too believe her married but Mahinder objects it and fights with his brother's wife.
Maan could not forget his friend and his Mom request's Mahinder to come with Geet. On coming to Maan's house, Mahinder faces displeasure from his grandfather. They have talk too it, grandfather advises Mahinder to never contact Maan.
Sometime later He also leaves with geet and get settled in the city. And on the visit to his ancestral house, there Geet get's abducted by her aunt's brother. The aunt would have ordered the abduction.
With time geet forgets the marriage but maan believes her to be his wife, also his mother too encourages him. Years later he even comes looking for her.
And Geet too gets a clue about her child marriage with Maan.
They meet but as a stranger, both feels the pull towards each other but thinking they are married to someone else they try to control it. Not knowing he or she is their husband/wife.
I don't remember it is completed or not.
