Oh yah! she did get that right.. He was miserable. He had been miserable for four freaking months! Because he knew that phone would not ring for him. His phone will not beep with her chirpy text message from her. The Geet Handa who loved him for the past few months was gone. As fast as she told him that she would love him forever and after that, she was gone. Geet... his rock, his pari, ..the woman who went to hell and back for him. With that thought he hummed that song she taught him .. his fingers trembling on the strings of the guitar.. Looking up at the sky and shouting..WHY?? And tears kept coming

Four Months Ago

He remembered after he received a call from Rano aunty, he rushed to the airport and immediately to the hospital. His hands were shaking so was his complete being. His heart was pumping loudly inside his ribcage. Tears threatened to stream down his face, but he couldn't even whimper. He was too scared to even make a sound. He just prayed continuously for her well being

please God ussen safe rahkna.. I won't ask you anything ever again! Let her survive this!

He never thought Geet could get hurt. She was his rock. It was so devastating all at onces.

He was supposed to be the strong. Raji and Rano were in tears when they saw him.

Tim and Mohinder gave an encouraging smile.

Mohinder - she is fighter and she will come back

Rano broke down in tears - I know .. she will live... even if only to see you smile again.

Raji tried to smile through her tears - even if meant to wear that white saree for you again

Those words were meant to encourage him, but instead it made him break down. Because he knew that they all were right. If the choice were up to her, Geet would definitely come back for him.
Tim spoke with utmost confidence - We have the best surgeons in the room with Geet. They are doing everything they could to save her.
Maan tried to compose himself trying to understand the situation.

Mohindar put his hand around him - Come. Family should wait together
They all waited in the lounge for any news of Geet's surgery.

Just then Mohinder got a call from the cops he answered them in umms and nods.

He put the phone back in his pocket gritting his teeth.

Mohinder - All those bas***ds are in jail now

Tim - And I will make sure they stay there.

Maan knew they were talking about the drunken teenage kids who hit Geet's car. They were speeding and they almost totaled Geet's Ferrari. The only things that saved her were the car's safety features. But still, she suffered from severe head trauma and a couple of broken bones.

Raji took his arm and said - Come, Maan I'm starving. You look like you need some coffee too

He was quite all the time

Raji ordered coffee for everyone Maan couldn't stand all this.. Just a sip of coffee... and rushed to through up. It was all taken a toll on him. He didn't even have an appetite for caffeine.
When he sat on the table opposite to her, she was eyeing him wearily.

Maan - don't worry.. It sounded so fake when he himself was so devastated.
Maan looked at Raji.. she looked just like Geet but a matured version of her. If Geet was epitome of passion she was strong filled with the princess charm. Elegant women.

Raji - Geet really loves you .. you know

Maan nodded - I love her too.Then tears brimmed in his eyes again.

God, I wish I could say that to her again.

Raji - You will

Just then Mohinder joined them - She is a fighter. She won't give up so easily. Well... you know that by now, right?

Maan nodded. Yes he knew that. Geet spent months waiting for him to realize that she was the right one for him. He only realized that two days ago. And two days is just too damn short for him to show her that he was worth the wait. He prayed that he had more time with her. And he would make up for all the months he resisted falling in love with her. When he was just hers from day one.

Mohinder took the coffee and headed to the lounge

Raji - we alI were excited for you guys

Raji looked far away with a strange expression - I thought my sister cared for nothing but our businesses and her own self. But when I saw her delegating business to Adi, I knew something was up. And then I realized it was you. She was ready to settle down and spend down time with the guy of her dreams
Maan - how do u know I am her dream guy

Raji - I knew it the moment I met u first time .. and then..you made her fall in love. Trust me she seemed so incapable of doing that. She wanted a man who would like her even if she wasn't who she was.

Maan sighed - The fact that she is Geet Handa made me think twice or thrice about falling for her.. I didn't want a complicated relationship.

Raji - meri behan waisen hain nahi jaisen wo sab ko dihkathi hain. She is probably the sweetest soul I know. Just that she doesn't show it. She always carries that tough look.
Maan smiled bitterly - she showed me all the time. I was too stubborn to appreciate it. And then... two days ago, I gave in. I gave up fighting what I feel for her. I thought I'd take a risk. Because she was worth it. And now...he crushed the empty cup next to him.

She pressed his hand - This can't be over

Raji cried - Ssshhh...A love story as beautiful as hers couldn't be over too soon, Maan. You have so much more to go through together. You both deserve to be happy with each other.
