Maan looked at her shocked nd thought ... God!! She is still living in that horrible shadow of past ,, those memories r hunting her ,, she cn't even sleep peacefully .

Maan's heart came in throat seeing her like that , it was unbearable to see her suffering like that ,, he cupped her face nd patted her cheek to wake her up from nightmare ,, he was calling her name in a painful voice .

Maan : g e e t,, Geet ,, open ur eyes ,, wake up Geet ,, see Maan is here ,, i m here geet ,open ur eyes ...

Geet 1^st shuddered nd then opened her eyes with a jerk , feared , pained ,nd looked at him shocked nd then sat ,, Maan cupped her face lovingly .

Maan: Geet , what happen ,do u have nightmare ? Calm down baby , Don't fear , m here ,, see m here near u .

Geet said nothing looked around to get d reality nd then saw at him painfully ,, this was nothing new for her ,, it happened almost every night with her .

Maan had an urge to held her in his protective arms but composed seeing her scaring form nd nodded in a no : don't fear , see i m here ,u r not alone .

Geet gulped hard nd squeezed her eyes to suppress her pain ,, pain which she cdn't share with anyone ,, that was buried deep in her wounded heart nd ached ,, she was not fearing but suffering in this pain from that day .

Maan felt a lump in his throat,, he understood what was torturing her but cnd't voice out in front of her ,, chocked with pain nd emotions he pulled her close to him nd cocooned in a protective way whispering ... G e e t ,, u r not alone , i m with u ,, i m with u geet .

Geet sniffed in his arms ,, her aching soul felt a solace in his selfless care ,,from last 2 days he was only thinking nd caring about her bearing all her curtness ,,her heart wanted to trust him ,, he was not faking nd this was clearly visible in his deep honey brown eyes .

Maan : sshh ,, bas , u r safe nd secure .

Geet composed herself nd spoke sadly : i m fine ,u go nd take rest ,, i m sorry ,u r also suffering bcoz of me .

Maan: u don't have to say sorry , sply to me ,,geet u saw nd realised that many ppl meet nd come close with diff reasons ,, here too God brought us close nd tied with a string of pain ,, Geet u believe nd chant ur Babaji's name then respect his decision ,, he made u a brave nd self dependent girl , so stand with high head with confident nd stop blaming urself ,, if u cn fight for other, then why this low thinking for u ,, stop this negativity , u r disappointing me with these talks .

Maan : sshh ( he shut her in mid ),, that was an accident,, u know ppl lost many precious things in accidents , but faced nd recovered ,,u know we too lost Dadu ,but DM nd we r coping up with life na ..? Geet looked at him awed ,, this man was really an enigma for her ,, sometime very rude,emotionless nd reserved nd some time very caring nd emotional .

He gestured her to lie down to sleep ,, her hand was in his nd caressed her face lovingly ,, Geet felt d warmth of his care nd closed her eyes to sleep ,, none in her whole life cared for her like this ,, in all that pain too she bore only anger nd scolding of Darji nd Brij ,, her parents only looked at her helplessly ,,didn't raise their voice for her ,,they proved that she was not imp for them but their family ,, but this Man who was unknown to her nd cd deny for anything supporting her ,, trying to get her trust nd bearing d same intensity of pain like her ,, as he said she had to give a chance to this life ,, in few days it wd be cleared that she cd trust him or them or not.

She didn't know when she lost in deep slumber thinking about him ,, where maan was staring at her with a smile ,, there wr some +ive changes in her behaviour ,, these changes cd give him some peace nd hopes but in his heart was he was hurt nd sad ,, seeing her suffering like that was not easy for him to sleep peacefully ,, he adjusted her blanket nd slowly pulled his hand from her ,, kept a dim light on in d room nd went to his place for some rest , he slumped in his bed feeling miserable for her ,,he was restless whole night nd went to check her few times ,,Maan hardly get some sleep in wee hrs .

It was a soft soothing morning of winter ,,d chirping of birds with sweet music was making it more lively ,, geet lazily turned nd opened her eyes ,, d room was lit with a blue light of a night lamp nd with mrng light ,, over all a pleasant look ,, she looked around nd sat in bed , folded her hands to pray Babaji , but d sound of chirping stopped nd then started again ,, her attention went that side nd looked at her side door nd realized that that d sound was coming from that side ,, she got up curiously nd moved that side ,, removed d curtain nd peeped ... that was another room nd she saw Maan sleeping in s single bed ,, then she witnessed that d chirping sound was coming from Maan's phone ,,that was a ringing tone for alarm ,, she was shocked that he was sleeping here leaving his comfy room ,but next moment a sweet smile spread on her lips .

Geet came lil close to his bed nd adored d sight infront of her ,, he was looking very innocent nd angelic while sleeping like that,, d alarm was not able to wake him up ,, he was in sound sleep ,may be he had worked for long ,, Geet saw his office stuff there .

She saw him sleeping peacefully nd thought to stop d alarm which cd disturbed his beautiful sleep ,, she went near, bent nd stretched her hand to get d phone from Maan's side ,, her one hand was not moving properly so she was using other hand to work , but when she was picking d buzzing phone from bed , Maan took turn in sleep which startled Geet nd she lost her balance .. .. hhuuhh , aahh,,whose it ?

Aahh,, sorry ,, g e e t !!!! u u u ,, aahh .

Maan was shocked nd wake up with a jerk when Geet lost her balance nd fell on him ,, that fall pained her shoulder nd she cried ,,Maan herd her voice nd became more shocked ,, held her in a go nd turned on bed ,, now she was on bed nd he was towering him from side ,, his shocking eyes wr staring at her nd so that geet .

Everything happened in a blink nd both didn't get what to say only staring at each other ,, d alarm was still buzzing .. d chirping sound with some sweet melodious BG.

Maan lost in her dewy eyes ,he was so bemused that he forgot to ask about her wound nd pain ,, she too lost in his tranquil gaze ,, that close proximity was casting a spell on them ,, they remained like that for few sec ,, Maan in trance raised his hand nd removed d strends which fell on Geet's forehead ,, that touch on her face broke Geet's reveries nd she stiffened nd averted her gaze ,, Maan too came in sense nd parted with a jerk ,, both wr in shock nd now feeling embarrassment ,, he got up from bed , took his shirt nd wore that ,, in between geet too tried to sit nd to come out from bed she placed her elbow on bed nd that pained her ,, she left a cry .. aahh .

Maan turned in worry : Geet , r u ok ? r u hurt there ?

Geet in pain : hhmm.

Maan: wait ,let me help u , why r u using that wounded hand ?

He came close to her nd helped in standing from bed ,, d phone was still buzzing ,, maan gave a concerned look to geet.

Maan: Geet tumhe lagi kya , bahot dard hei ?

Geet : aamm ,nahi , but slight pain hei , u don't worry .

Maan : then who'll ? nd by d way what r u doing here ? how u fell on bed ?

Geet startled : wwoo,, aamm ,, woo , ur phone was buzzzing see ... ,, so i came here to check nd find u sleeping here ,, i want to stop d alarm nd tried to get that from bed , but lost my balance nd ...

Maan left a deep sigh : tumhara mai kya karu Geet ? ( Geet looked at him confused ) u always need a person around u to take care of u ,, don't know when nd where u cn hit nd bang .

Geet looked down embarrassed ,, Maan smiled nd nodded his head ,, took his phone nd stopped d alarm , then check d time .

Maan: when u woke up , did u sleep well ?

Geet nodded in yes ,, she was not looking at him ,, Maan came close to her , held her hand nd made her sit on bed ,, he remembered about her nightmare .

Geet: why r u sleeping here , in this small room , u have ur room na ?

Maan: how cn i leave u alone here ,, DM cn't take care of a girl who has a habit to bang nd fall ,, nd with mom nd DM u r not familiar then i have to stay around u .

Geet: MK , u r over reacting ,, u wr not around me all d time from last few yrs ,, it was only me who was taking care of me nd i cn do this now too .

Maan: that i saw few min back , how good u take care ? any way leave it , nd tell me what do u want in mrng .. tea or coffee ?

Geet: aamm ,, tea ,, MK i m feeling bad that u slept here , plzz u don't have to do this , nd go to ur room .

Maan smiled : don't worry geet i m fine here , even happy , bcoz of u i came nd spent time here after many yrs ,, Geet this is our play room in childhood ,, there r many toys , games nd story books in these boxes ,, mom gave our cycles nd many toys to servants kids to play when we grown up, but still there r many .

Geet too smiled nd looked around : so remembering ur childhood here ?

Maan smiled : yeah , all bcoz of u nd loving it .

Geet faked a smile: hope u'll get ur lost happiness soon .

Maan smiled : same to u .

Geet startled nd star at him blankly , then turned with heavy heart nd left from there ,, Maan left a deep sigh nd went to his room in FH ,, ordered tea/coffe for both nd went to he freshen up ,, when he was crossing d living hall DM stopped him nd asked about Geet nd her behaviour ,, she was worried for Maan ,, he was already heart broken nd Geet's rudeness cd hurt him more , but Maan gave her a side hug with a smile nd assured her that Geet was improving nd so her behaviour,, he cd understand DM nd his parents worries related to him nd Geet .
